Your journey begins at our family cabin, where we’ll provide easy-to-use skis and headlamps before heading out. . Glide gracefully through serene, snow-draped forests and semi-open swamps while soaking in the stunning Arctic beauty surrounding you. Learn about life in this magical region, highlighting the unique features that make this winter wonderland so unique. The evening's highlight is skiing across the pristine frozen surface of Lake Norvajärvi, where the expansive sky offers a tantalizing chance to witness the mesmerizing Northern Lights. While this isn’t a Northern Lights tour, if they do come out it is an experience you won’t soon forget. After this amazing journey, we’ll retreat to our cozy private shelter, where you can relax by a warm fire and take in breathtaking views of the northern skies. Suitable for all ability levels, this immersive adventure promises to deepen your connection with nature and create lasting memories. Join us for a magical experience you won’t want to miss!
What‘s Included
We will provide Skis, Poles and Headlamps. Our ski system allows you to wear your own winter shoes but it is important to wear winter clothing as nights can get cold.

5.00Un’esperienza che porterò sempre nel cuore. Kyle may not realize it, but I know my mind will return to this evening again and again: his incredible blueberry soup, the bonfire on the frozen lake where we shared stories and moments from our lives, and the incredibly soft and warm reindeer skin in the beautiful hut he built: a detail that truly makes a difference 😂. The laughter, skiing through the forest, the sound of silence in the woods, and then… the breathtaking aurora experienced together. This is not just an activity, it’s a truly authentic, human, and unforgettable experience. Thank you for such a special gift: I will carry it with me in my heart and mind for as long as I can 😅😂❤️

5.00Our experience night skiing with Kyle was hands-down the highlight of our Rovaniemi trip. It was just my friend and I on the experience, and by the end of the night it really felt like we were all old friends. Kyle's passion for showcasing the beautiful scenery via nighttime skiing was palpable; he prepared us for the skiing with handwarmers and gloves, showed us how to use the skis, went skiing at a slow pace (I had never been on skis before), and constantly checked in on us to make sure we were comfortable. However, Kyle's enthusiasm also extended far beyond the skiing portion. He prepared a fire for us to warm up afterwards, brought us special vegetarian food and drink, and even warmed up the car for us at the end. I cannot recommend Kyle enough for this once-in-a-lifetime experience. Thank you again Kyle! We'll definitely be back.

5.00I tried the tour with Kyle in the daytime twice this year already, I loved it so much that I wanted to try the night time tour as well. I made one of the best decisions of my life. The tour was amazing, a whole new experience in the dark. Kyle was helpful throughout the tour of course and also gave us some sausages at the end. Best thing you can do in Lapland!!

5.00The cross-country skiing tour with Kyle was simply incredible. We had a fantastic time in the Finnish forests with a wonderful tour guide who is so passionate and enthusiastic about his job, nature, and sharing the beauty of silence with us. The three of us went on a private tour from shelter to shelter. Despite our skiing experience, we would say that even beginners could easily manage this tour. We finished with a campfire where we enjoyed sausages and hot blueberry juice. As absolute nature lovers, we highly recommend this tour, as it isn't like all the other tours on offer, which are overly touristy and rushed through, but rather presents Finland with genuine passion and authenticity.

5.00Just an absolute wonderful experience. My husband and I did the night time trek, and it was the best part of our whole trip! It was just us and Kyle, and Kyle really tailored the walk to what fit us best. He had stops along the way with small surprises, and at the very end he really surprised us! I don’t want to give anything away! :) All the small things he did were very much appreciated. He took AMAZING pictures for us so that we didn't have to worry with our phones. Everyone visiting Rovaniemi should book this once in a lifetime adventure!
Night ski under northern lights

5.00Our group took this night ski tour during solar storm and we managed to see the most amazing northern lights. Kyle is a very skilled tour guide, and took many pictures for us. It was dark in the forest, but we had lamps, felt safe and well taken care of! Really once in a lifetime kind of experience. Thank you!

5.00If you want to experience a more authentic night in Rovaniemi (not chasing a northern light), the Arctic Fox is the best option! Kyle (the tour guide) is knowledgeable, fun, and super nice; he teaches how to ski kindly and patiently, and you can also learn Finnish culture and Finnish style of enjoying nature from him. I believe if you join this tour, it will be the most memorable night you spent in Rovaniemi, no matter if you see the northern light or not.
