Why Shekhinah Tours is Different: Unlike other tours, this is not a big bus experience with long wait times and impersonal guides. We want you to feel welcome to the Island the moment you step off the ship, and we’re excited to share our knowledge of the history, culture, economy, and food on Bonaire!
There is a maximum of 7 guests per vehicle, so you will personally interact with your guide throughout.
You will see all the major sites and highlights. You will experience local neighbourhoods to sample snacks and drinks native to this region.
Because of the minor group nature of this tour, you will be able to ask questions and make custom requests if there’s something, in particular you want to see. Time allows, and we’ll do all we can to make this trip memorable for you and your group!

We want you to feel at home and comfortable on our island and recommend you bring the following for this tour:

Before the Tour:
Hotel or apartment guests: For the meeting, please meet your guide at the reception, and if you are staying at an apartment; your driver will be at the address you provided on the booking. Your guide will arrive at your pick-up location 15 minutes before the start of your tour to pick you up. We will notify you if there are any changes.
Cruise Ship guests: Your guide will welcome you with your first name or last name on a sign in front of the cruise ship exit/enter gate where your ship is docked. As you walk away from your ship, you will be approaching a security checkpoint gate. When you exit the gate, walk straight forward, and look straight ahead. Your guide will be there 15 minutes before the start of your tour to collect you. Please Note: If your tour starts at 08:30, your guide will pick you up 15 minutes (08:15) before the start time of your tour.
Very IMPORTANT: If you don't see your guide with your name, please stay at the gate of your ship and do not walk away and look for your guide, let your guide look for you.
We GUARANTEE to have you BACK TO THE SHIP 1 hour before the ship departure time.
This is a small group guided tour of up to 7 people per vehicle. You will be in a shared van, car, or pick-up depending on the number of guests.
Our prices include a 6% government tax.
Our goal is for you to leave the Island happier than when you arrived.
Cancellation Policy
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Kralendijk
At the start of the tour, we will tell you about the downtown area of Kralendijk. Downtown Kralendijk consists of a few streets and is easily walkable. Kaya Grandi is the Main Street, where you will find most shops, restaurants, and cafes. After the tour, we can drop you off in the centre if you want to do some shopping and walk around. If you're on a cruise, the ship port is about a 5-minute walk from the downtown district, and you can easily see and walk back to your ship before departure.

He kept us all engaged and entertained the entire 3 hour tour. We were very lucky to have a close up flamingo encounters - which was amazing and definitely the highlight for sure. 5.00Lily was a wonderful driver/guide. She was very knowledgeable about many aspects of her island and answered questions from passengers. We saw the highlights of Bonaire as a cruise shore excursion, great for those who are not snorkelers or divers. The small van was comfortable and cool. It was easy to find the tour group outside the port gates.

5.00Our tour guide, Rosina, was phenomenal. She arrived earlier than the pick up time, was extremely knowledgeable about the island, and never made us feel rushed. The van was cool and comfortable and she provided cold water, if needed. We hit all the hotspots of the island, got off at appropriate sites to look around, and we all had a good time along the way. The tour was exactly as advertised, and we could not have asked for a better guide than Rosina. She provided a lot of laughs and made the tour even better. We would recommend to anybody that is interested in getting a sneak peek to the entire island.

5.00We arrived in Bonaire on Sunday, and booked this tour for the following day, as it was a new place for all of us, and we wanted to get the lay of the land. Renny met us at our hotel lobby in a very nice van, and we headed south towards the salt lines. Met some donkeys, visited slave huts and salt mines, lighthouse and the famous Bona Lisa. Then we headed north and stopped at a scenic lookouts to take photos, visited 1000 steps, the cross, and a darling little museum in Rincon. The tour was slightly improvised because our resort was farther south than most, and therefore lasted longer than advertised. Renny was a delightful host and we learned a lot. We also stopped at a local stand for so much needed drinks. It’s a great introduction to the island.

5.00It was a very informative tour and very relaxed. The group was small, about 8-9 people and the van was nice and clean, inside and out, and very good air conditioning in the can. Gino was a great tour guide and driver, and even allowed us to make an unscheduled stop on the way back in so we could get a great distance pic of our cruise ship sitting in the port. It was a fabulous tour and I would highly recommend this company and especially our driver, Gino!

3.00If you want to do some beautiful sightseeing of Bonaire, this is a very good choice. There aren’t a whole lot of options like in nearby much larger Curaçao, so this is one of the better ones. Our guide was nice, but she was new to the job and worse did not have much knowledge of the history or biology or geology of Bonaire even though she was a native. On top of that, English was not her primary language and communicating wasn’t always the easiest thing to do. With a better guide, this could have been a five star experience. The sites are beautiful, it’s a good use of your time while in Bonaire. Our group was glad we went overall.
