Our driver and guide John was absolutely fantastic. He avoided all road works, then Pickering was slow because of unexpected works. Johns knowledge of the town meant we got to Goatham for the train on time. John phoned ahead of time, his conetions with the station paid off and all went very smoothly, even organised a steam train to Whitby. He made the trip very interesting, and interacted with the passengers. Although we didn’t have long in Whitby, we did a number of enjoyable things. I’m a Yorkshireman via Australia but my husband whose Australian born just loved it. A great day out. Maybe begin the tour earlier or extend it to a bit later, never the less it was fantastic and the weather was beautiful.

Ben was our driver and tour guide. We were so lucky to have him. He was very professional, knowledgeable and entertaining about the places we visited. I would certainly recommend you do one of his tours if you visit York.

Had a great day with our guide and driver John. The group size was great ( 13 ) and the van size was comfortable and allowed us to drive safely off main roads to see the lush and beautiful countryside. ( plus we were high enough to see over the hedgerows and walls) . John was a great storyteller and we feel caught up in our local history. The tour was not rushed and time in Whitby was sufficient to let us explore leisurely. It was nice to finally see the moors and many places we have read about in books. Great tour overall.
