Even though everything is good or not good (Weather and Aurora Activity) when it starts, the weather or Northern Lights' activity always changes, and other conditions may change. It will be the natural things involved, which causes a lack of lights or low visibility.
We pick you up at Hotels listed.

With Photo Service (JPG Files) we will upload your photos into OneDrive or Dropbox linked. It takes 3 days to send a URL linked.

What To Expect

When the northern lights (aurora borealis) are coming out in the sky, you may come on out. Then we take pictures for you. No Restroom because we are chasing the lights. Please let us know before the tour if you need. We can’t promise to let you see the Northern Lights, which is Mother Nature that we cannot control. It is a natural phenomenon. 5.00I booked this tour in early April, and it was an amazing experience! I felt so lucky and blessed to see the Aurora Borealis at multiple spots. The guide, David, was very experienced with 18 years of living in Alaska. He shared his chasing process with apps and took us to the best spots in Fairbanks. No lights were there, where it was perfect conditions to see the Aurora and take our own photographs with the beautiful Aurora backdrop! I could have even seen the shooting star and made a wish. We saw the dancing Aurora, and it was indescribable. My Alaska trip was all in for this Aurora, and I could have been more than happy that I could ever be while I was watching the picturesque lights over the sky. If you are a Harry Potter fan, the sky looked like the front cover of its 6th book: Half-Blood Prince. So mysterious and intriguing. I feel grateful for David and the agent who fielded questions before booking the trip and which date/time would be the best given our trip itinerary. I would recommend wearing ski clothes and gloves and bringing hot packs as it's late night in Alaska.

5.00The guide did an incredible job finding the perfect viewing spot for the aurora, and their photography skills were amazing. They even moved us to different locations just to make sure we could get even better photos, which I really appreciated. Thanks to their dedication and effort, we were lucky enough to witness an absolutely stunning aurora display. It was truly an unforgettable experience.

5.00What a great viewing of the Northern Lights! Photographer/driver, David and driver, Cole, told us conditions were favorable but also cautioned that one never knows how brilliant the lights would be. We hit pay dirt. Greens, pinks, dancing lights, it was super! Our guides/hosts were very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Highly recommend!

5.00It was truly EXCEPTIONAL, and i think i cannot describe in words how deeply i was moved by the swirling auroras. I realized a joy that industrialized world brings can never surpass the awe that mother nature presents. It was just indescribable and insane that i didn't even dare to take my eyes off of the sky. This was a once in a life time thing without any doubts, and this team really enhanced our experience by driving us to good spots and taking high quality pictures (both group and solo) endlessly. l definitely want to chase aurora with this team again if i visit Fairbanks in the future.
Aurora tour is recommended.

5.00It was a fantastic experience. Although it was difficult to see the weather, Aurora was chasing for a long time near the Arctic and near Anchorage. He tried to take one more photo. If you visit Fairbanks again, you will find this tour! Highly recommended.

5.00Me and my son had the best experience seeing the a northern lights with this tour company. Our first attempt was not successful because it was very cloudy but got a second chance to do it again . And this time it was more that we could ever ask for, the Aurora borealis was very strong and was just showing off and it was dancing!! It was indeed spectacular!! Our driver David was the best! He was very patient in chasing Aurora looking for great spots and he always made sure we were warm enough and comfortable. They are always updating us for any changes, they are on time in picking us up. When you have inquiries and questions they email us right away to address it. Very comfortable ride during the whole trip. Alaska Journey tours highly recommenced. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience!

5.00This was such an amazing experience. David was awesome and his passion and enthusiasm for the auroras made the tour that much better! He took us to a few different spots with really cool photo opps and we were able to take as many professional pics as we wanted (which were all sent to us the next day)! When the lights were a bit dull, we moved on to the next until we hit a few bright substorms. Communication leading up to the tour was also great and we were well prepared because of it. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Fairbanks or the surrounding areas!

5.00Seeing the aurora had been on my bucket list for a long time, and I finally got to experience it last week. It always felt like a distant, almost unrealistic dream, so I never imagined it would come true so smoothly. I did have some concerns about the extreme cold and staying out at midnight but the experience was so incredible that it completely erased all those worries. From the consultation, everything was explained kindly and clearly. Despite the freezing weather, the photographer showed amazing passion, moving between locations and putting in great effort to capture beautiful photos for us. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to make a once-in-a-life time memory!

5.00Pickup First, I got a text about 20 minutes in advance that David was on his way and a photo of the vehicle picking us up. There were three other customers which they were great and everyone was very friendly. Before we started, David explained the process of how things would work and some housekeeping rules. First location We drove about 10 minutes and the stars were out. David checked his map and knew exactly where to go. He has 18 years of chasing the lights so I couldn’t have asked for a better guide. We couldn’t see but once he told us where to position our cameras, we were able to capture the first faint sighting so we were thrilled. We stayed there for snout 20 minutes taking photos and headed to our next location. Second location This was the perfect spot! The percentage increased and it was a magical experience to witness. We stayed there for a long time just taking photos and taking in the view. David was even excited with us and I just appreciated his knowledge as well as his willingness to go above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied. Third location The lights were still visible but faint. At this point, we were very cold and tired so we ended a little early but well worth it and got what I came for. If you think bc you are in a car waiting that you don’t have to be dressed properly, think again! Wear the proper gear if you don’t want your fingers and toes to suffer. Overall, I’m thrilled that I got to see the lights. If I hadn’t, I would have still been satisfied based on David’s service.
