Even though everything is good or not good (Weather and Aurora Activity) when it starts, the weather or Northern Lights' activity always changes, and other conditions may change. It will be the natural things involved, which causes a lack of lights or low visibility.
We pick you up at Hotels listed.

With Photo Service (JPG Files) we will upload your photos into OneDrive or Dropbox linked. It takes 3 days to send a URL linked.

What To Expect

When the northern lights (aurora borealis) are coming out in the sky, you may come on out. Then we take pictures for you. No Restroom because we are chasing the lights. Please let us know before the tour if you need. We can’t promise to let you see the Northern Lights, which is Mother Nature that we cannot control. It is a natural phenomenon. 5.00We had the most incredible journey chasing the aurora and going dog sledding. A huge thank you to the owner and our guide for their dedication; thanks to them, we saw a magnificent aurora that we’ll remember for the rest of our lives. It was the perfect way to welcome the New Year. The dog sledding was a highlight for my kids and a truly special experience for all of us. We are so grateful for the attentive and warm guidance we received throughout the trip. Our family is heading home with hearts full of joy. It really was the trip of a lifetime. Thank you so much!

5.00Thanks to David for his patience and expertise in Northern Lights chasing! We were lucky enough to see the lights at our initial two stops. After that, they seemed a bit shy and faded away. Based on the forecast, I knew the chances of seeing more activity were lower. However, David didn’t give up—he spotted subtle signs of the aurora, and like magic, the lights came back and started dancing in the sky. Thank you so much for this unforgettable experience and the gorgeous views!

5.00I've became so fascinated with the Northern lights and decided to take an adventure to see the lights in person. I chose the chasing tour to increase the chances of seeing the lights and I'm very glad I did. The whether on the night of the tour was a bit strange and I did not have my hopes up but the professional guides were able to find a perfect spot where we could see the Aurora. I'm more than glad I've taken the tour and would like to return to Fairbanks again to see the beautiful lights!

5.00Looking at Aurora was my 2025 winter bucket list, thanks to which I achieved it ✨✨ Just a week before Fairbanks arrived, the Aurora index was so high I was looking forward to it, because the same day it was about 1-2 kp. Aurora became stronger and weaker, so it seemed to be invisible. Then it was amazing if it became a little worse. Note that Aurora is better caught by the camera than the eyes! (If you take photos, Aurora is better).

5.00David found the best rural spot and we saw huge aurora at even kp level1! He was so enthusiastic about his work and chasing aurora. He took photos nonstop for us in -30 degrees and his equipment is professional! He has been doing this for 18 years and we couldn’t have the best aurora photo of our life without him! This tour is amazing!

5.00Tour completely recommended ×100 We tried to see Aurora, but we failed, and we booked it quickly and it was so good. Looking at the blurred Aurora, I almost went home, but the expert was definitely different!! "Let's just wait a little longer, I think a good Aurora will be coming out soon," he said, and the beautiful Aurora came out like a lie. The Kp index was low and I was so lucky to see this Aurora! I suddenly contacted you and thank you very much for being kind to the guide.

5.00We had a great experience on our Northern Lights tour with David and Grace. They picked us up right on time and communicated well throughout the evening, setting clear expectations about the weather and what the night might look like. The SUVs were warm and comfortable, and it was clear they were experienced guides who knew the area well. They took us to several different viewing spots, all of which were quiet and uncrowded—most of the time, we were the only people there, which made the whole experience feel more special. They also took plenty of photos, which was a nice bonus so we could focus on enjoying the moment instead of worrying about our cameras. We ended up seeing a beautiful display with dancing auroras, and their knowledge of good locations definitely made the difference. Overall, a memorable night and a tour I’d easily recommend.

5.00The aurora chasing experience felt more like being blessed than just being lucky. The photographer was not doing things in a formal or routine way, but truly put in great effort to capture even one more beautiful photo, which I deeply appreciated. All of the staff were kind and professional, and it was a tour I was very satisfied with. I believe this will be a wonderful Christmas gift.

5.00We spent 2 nights in chena hot springs but didn't get luckly. It was our last night in fairbanks, David and Cole made it possible to see the dancing auroras. They're very friendly and enthusiastic people to interact with 20+ years of experience doing this. I'd highly recommend alaska journey tours for chasing northern lights if you're in faibanks area.
