This is a group tour with a maximum of 50 guests.
Our tour operates in all weather conditions. We often see the best Northern Lights displays on nights with the worst forecasted weather conditions.
This is a real chase that may include many hours of driving. The return time to Tromsø is between 22:30 and 03:00
There are no refunds or free trips if we do not see the Northern Lights or if you fail to meet us at the meeting point on time.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.

5.00Irene and Ivan were the best tour guides! Irene gave very clear expectations of the evening, great stories and snacks. We were very lucky to go on a clear night and had a wonderful experience seeing the Northern Lights. I highly recommend booking this tour!! Worth noting most tours don’t permit toddlers - this tour does and will accommodate with a car seat for the bus ride.

5.00My family and I had the most beautiful check off our bucket list with Chasing Lights. All thanks to Trisha,our dedicated planner and operations guide, every Itinerary was superbly planned out, taking into consideration the dynamics of elderly in our group of 8. CL (Chasing Lights) houses the most dedicated, warm, helpful, considerate and passionate guides. From their team of Alex and Jonas who chased our nights beneath the cold, we caught the a set of breathtaking spews of colors in the night skies. Jefta and Marius brought us to day tours for snowmobile mobil, and walks in the beautiful Fjords and the city of Tromsø, sharing lots of stunning scenery. Also not forgetting a very safe and experienced driver Patryk who drove us in the nights on our chase - was so warm and helpful as well throughout. Beyond doubt, do engage CL for your memorable Northen Lights chase and you will be in safe hands throughout. They are quick in responses and I must say the most responsible tour agency I have ever experienced ;D Thank you for the memories 💚

5.00Tromsø was completely cloudy on the day of our tour. We thought we are not going to see any northern light. However. Our tour guide( Alex) took us all the out to Finland where there were some clear sky. Alex was amazing, he picked a perfect spot. The minute we got off the bus we had sighting! Then we witnessed a dancing northern light. It was such an unforgettable experience! Even during our way back, he spotted another northern light activity and stopped the bus for us to take more pictures. I highly recommend chasing light tour!

5.00We lucked out on the day we chose because we got AMAZING Northern Lights activity! Ivan, our driver, and Irene, our guide, were excellent hosts. You can tell Irene is passionate about what she does - her energy was magnetic. She found a beautiful spot for us to camp out at and await the lights, complete with hot drinks and a campfire, and provided us with awesome photos. This was a truly one of a kind experience and I'm really glad we went with this tour instead of the one we had originally booked. Thank you, Irene and Ivan!

5.00Great experience! It was not my first time with a tour to look for the aurora but I must admit that Michiel, our guide for the evening was impeccable! He had a contagious enthusiasm, he was very kind, he tried to make us enjoy the experience to the fullest by taking care of the photos he sent us the same evening! Really really impeccable!

5.00We started with an awful weather in Tromso but thanks to the efforts of Marc and Soraia we managed to catch the Northern Lights right in Finland! It was an amazing experience! Marc and Soraia have made stunning photos which we are able to take for free. The whole trip was 8 hours but it was worth it! Thank you, Marc, Soraia and our driver Maciej!

5.00We came to Tromsø in March and due to the weather we had very little hope of seeing the Northern Lights. We booked a tour for our last night and they took us 3 hours away from Tromsø, to Finland and we were able to see magnificent Aurora Borealis! We're so thankful for the experience.

5.00What a well organised tour, with sole aim to see the aurora borealis - the brilliant guides - Ivana, Soraia, Joakin (coach driver) - they didn’t let us down. Saw two bursts over 3 hrs, which were so spectacular. Bucket list ticked too

5.00Very well-planned northern lights tour! We went with Chasing Lights after a friend’s recommendation and we were so happy the first time that we booked a second tour (we were lucky to see the northern lights both nights!). So this is a slightly long review to thank the guides and drivers. First up was Ivana, Soraia and Joakin for our first night. They gave us an excellent introduction to the northern lights. Ivana even pointed out some wildlife that we saw along the way to the viewing point. Since there were other tours at our location, they took us down to the beach to get away from the crowds. Ivana was also incredibly kind to help me hold my elderly mum’s hand as we helped her down the steep uneven ground to the beach and back up again (there was also another guy on the tour with us who helped at the end - thank you!) Last but not least, we had Irene, Jonas and Trond for our second night. Irene and Jonas were super knowledgeable and experienced. Beyond teaching us about the northern lights, they taught us how to see the star constellations! They were also excellent photographers! Our driver was Trond, he was the friendliest and he even shared stories with us and sang a short Norwegian song. I also appreciated how Jonas got us involved in building the campfire (it was my first time lighting it!) and shared his and Irene’s expertise with those of us who still had energy left. Thank you so much to both teams at Chasing Lights! Your tours were the highlights of our trip here in tromso! I would highly recommend Chasing Lights. The Big Bus tours are especially good for families, for those travelling with children or elderly parents. If they’re tired or cold, they can rest and keep warm in the bus (there’s a toilet in the bus too). We went with the Big Bus tour since I was with my elderly mother. But I would come back and try the Small Bus tour myself next time.
