This is a group tour with a maximum of 50 guests.
Our tour operates in all weather conditions. We often see the best Northern Lights displays on nights with the worst forecasted weather conditions.
This is a real chase that may include many hours of driving. The return time to Tromsø is between midnight and 04:00
There are no refunds or free trips if we do not see the Northern Lights or if you fail to meet us at the meeting point on time.
We require a minimum of 15 participants. In the rare event that a tour needs to be cancelled, a full refund will be provided.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Cancellation Policy
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

5.00We took the tour with our almost 3 year old daughter. Bailey was our guide and the with his good care, empathy & accompanied by our luck of mother nature it turned out to be a night full of green lights, dancing everywhere. 1. The car seat for the child was already in place. Loved This. 2. Of course it is gonna be challenging with the cold & knee deep snow terrain of 100 meters with a toddler. But you could always come back to the warm bus 3. The empathy & extra affection to our child made it more easier to fit in the group Highly recommend it for friends, couples, groups and specially recommend this if you are a family with small children

5.00Had the best time with Bailey and Jarek this evening. We were blessed with an amazing display for hours but what made it truly special was Bailey’s enthusiasm and knowledge of the northern lights. His photography skills are exceptional and it was truly the trip of a lifetime. Thank you again Bailey!

5.00We have been very lucky to see the northern lights twice this year and both times with Chasing Lights. The last time was in Feb and this time in Dec. Once again, it was such a magical & mesmerising experience. Words fail to describe! Both our guides and driver were coincidentally Alex. They made sure our big group were safe, warm & comfortable.

3.00I have to preface this by saying we did not see the lights on this ocassion (it wasn't cloudy, but there wasn't any activity), however the following review (and overall score) is not because of that. We went on another tour the following day and are using that as benchmark. There was no toilet -> we specifically booked this trip because of the toilet. They said there weren't enough travellers, so they opted for a mini-bus instead of the big, toilet-equipped, bus. They also did not stop at gas stations, so we had to go into the woods, in the middle of the night, in deep snow, to use the toilet. Secondly, they had no chairs, so our options were to stand for hours and hours, or to sit on the snow. The fire was also started late, so we were quite cold. They only had cookies and hot chocolate/tea/coffee, no additional warm food (e.g. soup). The guide had a lot of technical information, but there wasn't much talking on the way there or back. We travelled for 1.5h each way. The guide was friendly, professional, and took nice pictures of us which we appreciate.

5.00I went on 5 Northern Lights hunts with them and they were all incredible. The first and second days were with the Ivana, Alex and Alex team and it was already very good, they demonstrated a lot of knowledge about the subject and how passionate they are about what they do. The third day the team was Owen and Olsen and I was also impressed with their knowledge and passion for the hunt, as well as their safe driving. The fourth day was the Alex, Sara and Pawel team and it was definitely my favorite hunt, even though the lights weren't that visible, Alex's presentation about the Northern Lights was wonderful, he talked not only about the science behind the aurora, but also the myths of various peoples. The last hunt was with the Ivana, Meda, Nik and Ole team and the show was spectacular, thus closing an incredible week.

5.00It was one of the best experiences here in Europe. My partner and I really wanted to see the Northern lights and we werent sure if we should take the big bus or the minivan. We read a review saying that if you meet the right guides, big bus is just as good (if not better) than the minivan. And it was! Mark and Alex really showed us a strong, solid aurora in our first try, it was so amazing. Their photos were great, we did a camp fire where Mark also explained the science behind this. The drink, cookie were all very good as well. We could tell Mark and Alex are really enthusiastic about their jobs and that they really wanted to share this amazing experience with us and hence made it happen. Thank you so much!
