When darkness falls over Northern Norway, something begins that can best be described as part adventure, part science project – and just a little bit of madness: the hunt for the Northern Lights.
Because yes – finding the aurora is a small science in itself. It’s not just about luck or pretty boots.
The adventure begins with a heartwarming visit to some of Northern Norway’s most charming creatures – llamas, alpacas, woolly pigs, and horses.
After that and the sky darkens, the real journey begins. In a small, comfortable group – never more than eight people – we set out on a calm, fun, and slightly mysterious chase.
Along the way, we warm up with hot drinks and a selection of Norwegian delicacies – carefully chosen treats that tell the story of local traditions and northern flavors. Sweet and savory bites – perhaps a little chocolate, something smoked, something unexpected – and it will for sure taste even better under the stars.

5.00This was a great excursion we booked! The weather was not cooperating at first but it turned out to be a beautiful evening. Our guide was Aase iren Andersen and she was the best guide ever. You could tell she really enjoys what she does and gets as excited as we did to search and then finally find the northern lights! She was not going to give up until we spotted them, and we did spot them! She was also very informative and answered any and all questions we had. And told us about her life here in Alta. I highly recommend this trip and this tour company if you come to Alta.
Amazing experience! With lots of laughs and memories.

5.00What a memorable experience! Marius is truly an amazing tour guide. He has such a beautiful house and property and absolutely lovely animals. The animals are a definite must visit. Marius went out of his way to drive a very far distance to give us the best chance at the northern lights. His prime goal is making sure his guests are completely satisfied. Although the KP level was low, Marius did not give up and he tried and everything possible. We did not get to see the lights, however, we still made some amazing memories. You can't control mother nature, but what could be controlled by Marius was absolutely amazing. I will never forget having a delicious beer while laughing with Marius driving all over Alt.
