Adaptive Routes and Patience – Our route changes based on weather, cloud cover, and road conditions. We may travel long distances or into Finland to find clear skies.
Set Realistic Expectations – The aurora is unpredictable; some nights offer subtle displays, while others feature vibrant colors. Multiple chases increase the chance of a spectacular sighting.
Scenic Stops When Possible – If conditions allow, we stop for campfires and photo opportunities, but finding clear skies is our top priority.
Expert Guidance and Support – Our guides assist with photography and share insights about the aurora, making this a rich and educational adventure.

Pictures often depict Northern Lights stronger than what we may see with our eyes
Our tour operates on all weather conditions. It is possible to find clear sky even in seemingly challenging weather conditions and we often see the Northern Light on nights when the weather forecast is worst.
Regardless if the sky is clear or not, there is a chance we may not see the Northern Lights
There are no refunds or free trip if we don’t see the Northern Lights
This is a real chase that can include many hours of driving. The return time to Tromsø is between midnight and 04:00
It is recommended to dress warm
You may be tired the next morning
We make toilet stops if possible, but sometimes we have to use nature
This trip requires a minimum of 8 participants. In the rare event that a trip needs to be cancelled, a full refund will be provided. In such cases, we will also offer to reschedule your trip to an alternative trip.
Alcohol is not allowed on the tour
The exact departure time will be sent on the morning of the tour.
Cancellation Policy

From the very beginning, his passion for the aurora and the Arctic landscape was clear. His enthusiasm was contagious and made the entire experience even more meaningful. Bailey was incredibly knowledgeable, explaining the science behind the Northern Lights in a way that was both engaging and easy to understand. He also shared fascinating local stories and insights, which added so much depth to the tour. Throughout the evening, he created a warm, welcoming atmosphere and made everyone feel comfortable and excited. What impressed us most was his dedication. Bailey carefully monitored the conditions and drove us to the best possible locations to give us the greatest chance of seeing the lights. When they finally appeared, he was just as thrilled as we were — which made the moment even more special. He also took absolutely amazing photos of us under the Northern Lights, making sure everyone went home with beautiful memories captured perfectly. The photos turned out incredible and were such a thoughtful and professional touch. Most importantly, Bailey truly made my 10th anniversary unforgettable. Seeing the Northern Lights was already a dream come true, but his effort, kindness, and genuine excitement made the night even more magical and meaningful for us. We couldn’t believe we were expediting this amazing Aurora bliss when leaving Tromsø in this snowy-cloudy afternoon on Saturday night. Thanks to your experienced and professional as well as cheerfully well-mooded and motivating attitude, this 9 hour adventure trip will surely find its way deep into our aesthetical life memories. All of it rounded up by a super good driver (Karol), scientific explanations at the campfire and, last but not least, the professional photo documentation provided by Nic. 5.00Tour was brilliant! We started in tromso bus station which is good location since is covered with roof and we could wait inside building for our luxurious mini bus. Our guide Marc and driver Wojtek were really professional and at same time funny. Passionate of what they do. We drove around 1h to have really good stop for toilets on local gas station. After we drove around 30 min to scenic location where sky was crystal clear and aurora was already there. We spend quality time enjoying artic with Marc and in between we where able to warm in bus at chat there with Wojtek. At end we hand awesome display of dancing aurora above our heads. Breathtaking expirence!!! Highly recommend our team and chasing lights 👌 ✨️

5.00I normally don’t write reviews, but this experience was so amazing that I had to make an exception. Our Northern Lights tour with Irene and Karol was absolutely fantastic. We felt comfortable and well taken care of from the very beginning. They are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, and the stories they shared - especially about how different countries used to interpret the Northern Lights - made the whole experience even more special and meaningful. Thanks to their experience and dedication, we were rewarded with a breathtaking Northern Lights show. It was truly magical, and you could tell they really know how to find the best spots and read the conditions perfectly. Everything was very well organized, relaxed, and enjoyable. The small minibus group made the experience feel much more personal and relaxed, which we really appreciated. We can wholeheartedly recommend this tour. 5.00This was an amazing experience! Ivan was a very good driver and he was very patient. Bailey was super enthusiastic, kind, and knowledgeable. He was super excited to see the northern lights and took amazing pictures. He was very patient with my mom and very supportive. On the way back we saw some great northern lights so we stopped twice more to see them!! they didn't rush us and we really enjoyed it. Our trip ended up lasting almost 9 hours because of all the stops to see even more amazing lights on the way back. Would totally do it again (actually, we are doing it again tonight)!

5.00The Northern lights tour was amazing and what made it even better was our tour guide Bailey as well as great driver Karol. Bailey & Karol kept the spirits high the whole tour and looked after us as we ended up staying out quite late and driving to Finland to find them. Bailey also gave great knowledge and told great stories around the campfire which kept us all intrigued. Even if we weren’t lucky enough to see the lights he would have still made the experience worthwhile, the company are very lucky to have such a happy and enthusiastic soul! Shoutout to Karol for keeping us all safe on the road also :)

5.00We went on the tour with Chasing Lights and it was simply incredible. Of course, we were very lucky to enjoy the Northern Lights all night long, with so many lights and beautiful dances in the sky. But beyond the highlight of the night, we had amazing moments with our guide, Bailey. His energy was captivating from the very first meeting point. He was extremely attentive, kind, and just as excited as all of us to see the beloved green lights. We were truly fortunate to experience such a magical night, but it wouldn’t have been nearly as special without our guide Bailey. The driver, Igor, was also very kind and drove us safely both ways. We were very, very, very happy to take this tour with Chasing Lights!!

5.00I had an absolutely incredible experience with Chasing Lights. Everything was perfect, and the team was amazing. Our guide, Bailey, was fantastic, genuinely passionate about the Northern Lights. He explained everything clearly, you could tell he really cared about making sure everyone had the best possible night. Our driver, Igor, was also excellent, friendly and a very good driver. We were incredibly lucky with the conditions, and the sky gave us a spectacular show. I was able to see the Northern Lights clearly with my own eyes, including green and red colors. It was for sure an unforgettable moment. The experience exceeded all expectations. This was truly one of the highlights of my trip to Norway.
