  The experience was incredible, we saw amazing northen Lights and had a very good time. The legend of the golden sami was a amazing history too. Thanks to our guide Alberto, who went above and beyond to make sure we had such a wonderful experience. Without a doubt, it was the best trip I've ever taken. I would absolutely recommend it.

  Joined a tour with 12 others. We were hosted by Tomas. A massive shout out to Tomas for being very engaging, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and persevering. Unfortunately there was very little Northern Lights activity on the evening of the tour. We only managed to catch a brief glimpse of green hue via cameras when we arrived at the destination. However, Tomas remained hopeful throughout the evening, regularly checking the aurora forecast. His enthusiasm did not wane. Thomas shared with us how to interpret the aurora forecast, his knowledge about Sami and Norway. We learnt so much from Tomas in that few hours. Tomas also took great pictures for the group. Of course, the trip wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for the driver (did not catch his name), who drove us safely to Skibotn, and back to Tromso. So thank you to driver, Tomas and Artic Explorers for giving us a memorable experience in Skibotn.

  If you are looking for an evening excursion in Tromso that offers the best opportunity to see the Northern Lights, then you should definitely consider the minibus chase tour provided by Arctic Explorers. While more Experian its competitors, the smaller number of guests combined with the cold weather clothing supplied provides for agility and comfort. Whether you will actually be involved in a ‘chase’ or stay put in one place depends on the aurora activity on any given evening; sightings are not guaranteed, even on a clear night. Our guide Tomas was enthusiastic and friendly, and kept us informed throughout. The tour I went in based itself at Skibotn, which is approximately a 2-hour drive from Tromso. It provides a natural amphitheater with mountains to the West, East and South, and a clear view over the Fjord to the North. Along with the snow and a night with a full moon, it made for a very atmospheric setting, even though on the night I went the northern lights activity was not particularly strong. I would have no hesitation in doing it again and would definitely recommend Arctic Explorers to anyone looking for a well-organised tour.

  No difference compared to the tour with the big bus. If the weather is bad, they’ll park you all night in an area with other groups waiting… if I ever go back, I’d look for the northern lights on my own

  Unfortunately the day before the tour, they messaged us to let us know they had move us to a more premium tour but of an earlier departure time which we could not make it and making us having to cancel. Not sure if this happens most of the time but it costed us the opportunity of being able to see the Northern Lights (that night that we missed was with good viewing). We're unable to book any other tours as well due to the short notice. Fortunately the refund came in quite promptly but the opportunity cost was too great for us as the next 2 days that we had in Tromso have no Northern Lights activity so we'd leave in regret.

  I didn't feel the trip lived up to it's description - we were driven out of the city to a beach where a camp fire was established and we remained there for the duration. Yes, I know that the leader had looked at the forecast and this was a good spot but it was promoted as moving locations, not staying in the one place. A lot of the group got bored and just sat on the reindeer skins on the snow for hours on end...but that is not ideal particularly if you're elderly or incapable of getting down and sitting on the floor. The photos were good and the setting beuatiful but I didn't think it was worth the money.

  It is a must do experience. The staff is very professional, very nice and friendly. You feel very confortable. Despite the cold, the equipment they provide and all the conditions of the excursion help to make it a magical experience.

  I share here a text written by me inspired by the aurora boreal: I dreamed day after day with an idea of what you could be, I imagined a thousand and five hundred things and put myself in the middle of a breathtaking landscape. I saw myself there, in that destination, in those amazing landscapes, strolling through the city, knowing and experiencing everything I wanted and, until the day came and, what was a dream became reality. You are charming, a force of nature, something unique that leaves us without words, you convey an indescribable force and, having the opportunity to be looking at you with my own eyes is an impressive thing. Seeing you dance, exploding in colors and movements, being yourself in your greatness is wonderful. Sometimes it's just seconds, minutes, but you don't stop, you don't get tired. In a little corner of the sky, our eyes see a small light and in an instant there is a colorful explosion dancing. And when we think it's over, there you are again, more colorful, more crazy, dancing without stopping. And even with clouds trying to hide, you get some space to show your beauty. Nothing stops you. You're too fascinating to go unnoticed. Our eyes are not even prepared to capture something so exceptional. With our smart phones, we realize that reality is even more stunning. It is incredible to witness such moments when we ourselves cannot even see the magnitude and beauty of things. There are no words, no photographs, no videos that compare to the reality of what it is to live in the Arctic and be able to experience it countless times. Under the cold, with layers of clothing, heavy, shaking the chin, run and give to the pleasure of witnessing this delicate work that explodes us of emotions in its fullness. My dear dawn, I carry you with me in my heart and hope to see you again, you are without a doubt the most beautiful things I've ever seen in my life Don't think twice, go for it 😉 Tromsø / Norway It was an amazing experience with our guide Alberto, very patient and friendly. The company gives us some jackets and boots to wear, which helps a lot. I advise you to have good chicks and good gloves, don't spare €€ on it, better invest or it makes the experience unpleasant. Good clothes to wear underneath, they speak very well of merino wool. The feeling of being around the fire in the middle of nature witnessing the dawn is something amazing.
