  Fantastic excersion, organised very well! Remained warm and dry in our snow suits and boots. Alberto, was very honest about our slim chance of seeing the lights and explained the science behind them. We had a great, experienced driver that worked with Alberto to seek out the auroras, even got to see wild reindeer and lovely meal around a camp fire with toasted marshmallows

  Our guide Yerah searched for a break in the clouds to enable us to find and see the Northern lights in a night that was overcast! We stopped at 2 locations and saw the lights at both. Our little fire, hot drink and hot sausage were very welcome.

  We did this through Viator. Our guide was Peter and he went above and beyond. My only recommendation for this is don’t book it until you’re already in Tromso and someone can tell you what nights will be clear and others will not. It’s a pretty expensive trip to not be able to see the lights if it’s cloudy. My recommendation for the guide service is to provide the disposable packet hand warmers and toe warmers. I think we could’ve stayed out a lot longer had our fingers and toes not gotten cold. You also need to be prepared to not be home until 1am or later. We went on this tour after flying for 16 hours and only having a two hour nap so we were completely beat.

  We will well taken care of right from the start. Instructions given via Viator platform was clear and helpful. The clothings lent to us were very sufficient and had many sizes to choose from. Our guides Georgie, Alberto and Dimitri were awesome. Very friendly, casual and obviously very well informed and knowledgeable about all things Aurora. The campfire, food and photograph were tip of the iceberg. Thankful to be able to catch this natural phenomenon. Looking forward to receiving the rest of the photos from the trip.

  Amazing Experience. Taken well care by Petra and team. They tried their 100% to chase Northern Lights nd they did the job perfectly. I had an exceptional experience with them. Special thanx to Petra for her effort. Keep up the good work guys.

  Nice experience thanks to the organization and guide Magdalena who managed everything at best with patience; in fact, his experience and determination led us to see a very long northern lights (3h) and then a special night despite the -14 °! He supported us to the maximum and with kindness even for souvenir photos, even post experience!! Highly recommended!!

  From the very first moment until the very end, Petra took care of us absolutely perfectly. Her approach was professional, warm, and made us feel like we were in the best hands possible. She looked after our comfort, safety, and made sure we enjoyed every second of the experience. Petra explained everything clearly, answered all our questions, and her passion for nature and the Northern Lights itself was truly contagious. Thanks to her, we reached the best viewing spots where the Aurora shone right above us. And when the sky finally lit up… it was a moment we will remember for the rest of our lives. The entire experience was well-organized, pleasant, and completely unforgettable. If anyone is hesitating about going – there is absolutely nothing to regret.   We are very happy with the whole tour, both me and my girlfriend loved it all. We have nothing to complain about. The food/drink we got was good, and having a tour guide which had a lot of knowlege about the Northern Lights, helped a lot aswell, he explained how it all works very well. We sadly didn't have very strong viewing of the Northern Lights, but that is of course not the Arctic Explorers team's fault, as it was very different from night to night as they explained to us. We recommend anyway others to do this tour aswell, it was very good, affordable and perfect if you enjoy to go on a small tour group, instead of a big one.

  We were collected from the pick up spot and walked 2 mins to go and get our suits and boots. 100% recommend wearing them. We then drove to just by Sommarøy and sat on the beach in the deep snow and our guide Magdalena and our driver who's name has escaped me made up a fire where we had hot chocs and learned about the northern lights. The snow was coming down heavily and we thought, lets make the most of this if we don't see them here, we will be moving to Finland. Then magically the sky cleared and we had our first glimpse of the northern lights. The clouds came back and we had some food, marshmallows and a second round of hot choc around the fire. Then the northern lights came out to play again and just got better and better through the night. Magdalena took amazing photos and we all had a great time in the snow too! Towards the end of the evening we all lay in the snow just watching the lights. Perfect evening !
