Jiufen Old Street: A fun maze for the adventurous, but a stair workout for others. Not a fan of stairs? No worries—we’ve got plenty of other great tours without the climb!
We provide pickup and drop-off services within Taipei City only. Please inform us of your Taipei hotel location.
Starting January 1, 2025, Jiufen will enforce holiday traffic controls (8 AM–8 PM). Tour buses and private cars must park in designated lots, with visitors taking shuttle buses to Jiufen Old Street.
A moderate amount of walking is involved.

5.00I had an amazing experience with Jennifer, my tour guide for my first solo trip to Taiwan! From start to finish, it felt like having a knowledgeable friend walking together with me and made the entire trip feel effortless and fun. Every stop was thoughtfully planned, and the stories shared brought the places to life. What I loved most was how attentive and patient she is. Knowing that I am a vegetarian, she will help to search for vegetarian food in Taiwan for me to try. It wasn’t just a tour—it felt like an adventure with a friend who truly cares about creating memorable experiences. And thank you for the beautiful sketch, it is lovely. 5.00We really enjoyed our 8 hours private tour to Northern Taiwan with our lovely guide Jennifer. Jennifer picked us up at our hotel and drove us in her private car to Tamsui, Ju Ming Museum, Yehliu and Jiufen. She was enthusiastic yet discrete, flexible (we changed our itinerary during the day), knowledgeable, respectful and well organised. She patiently took pictures for us. It was a nice, comfortabel and efficient way to get a good impression of the Northern part of Taiwan. We will definitely recommend Jennifer and this tour to our friends.

5.00My tour guide was An, and I had the most fabulous and relaxing time. Communicative and prompt for pick up, we had a full day of eating and activities. She was happy to accommodate any interests I had on site or make recommendations for snacks. My only advice is that you bring some cash as recommended to fully experience all the wonderful and inexpensive food and drinks!!

5.00I did a private tour with Jennifer in late July, and I’m so glad I did! Definitely a highlight of my trip. She was very knowledgeable, quite fluent in English, and helped with whatever I needed even coming prepared with ponchos and umbrella for me to use. She happily took photos of me the whole time and made the experience great. It did rain on and off throughout the day but still felt like a perfect trip to take rain or shine with the car rides and coverings in some places. Highly recommend if you’re thinking about it!

5.00Berry Tsai was our tour guide (ENG) and was an amazing guide! He was incredibly accommodating in terms of communication, service and answering questions. The tour was quick jam packed so it moves quickly, but he made sure to remind us of the itinerary and how long it would take to travel and how long we could stay in the area. He provided history, culture and information of the country and each location/tour, which was rich and beautiful! He even provided food for us to try in Jiufen, an upgrade for our sky lantern to have 4 colors instead of two, took our photos, and even dropped us off at Yong Kang Beef Noodle near our hotel after the tour was over and he recommended us really great spots! Overall, he was an amazing person, it was so nice to get to know him and have conversations. He was so helpful in providing translations but also helping us learn phrases and words in Mandarin to help converse with the locals. We were able to get to everything with great timing and he was so helpful in providing water/space for us in the car. I highly recommend the tour and the tour guides, it was great to see the beautiful nature in the country of Taiwan and experience the wonder that is each location. Thank you once again Berry! We wish we could provided a gift from the U.S. or something to show our love and care for a wonderful experience in the same way you showed us.

5.00A trip to Taipei wouldn't be complete without visiting Yehliu, Jiufen and Shifen. These three places are most conviniently done in a private trip. And best when arranged by a professional guide driver named Jennifer Yang. Jennifer has prepared everything we need prior to the trip. She sent us the itinerary a night before, included the list of some must-visit spots. In the morning, she came punctually with her clean and comfortable car. To our surprise, she also equipped us with rain coats and umbrellas. We never asked for them, nor her duty to do that for us. But it simply showed her extra-miles attitude... one of the thing that we will always remember of her. Her detailed preparation paid off. It was raining in Yehliu GeoPark. Thanks to the rain coats, we're fully protected in open air. She told stories about the stone formation while carefully led the way, took our beautiful pictures at gorgeous spots and took care of everything. In Jiufen, she showed us some highlights (theatre, tea house, classic beef noodles and some traditional food) and let us choose which ones to have. She kept some distance for our private space but still maintain her attention to make sure we didn’t get into trouble. We also fly the lantern in Shifen, almost no wait, thanks to her arrangements. All in all, bad weather may create hassle and ruin the trip. Having someone skillfully reliable is the solution, as we have Jennifer. So glad we found one!
