  • Manta diving

It's a beautiful place underwater, and beautiful is made by the largest rays in the world, mantas! But keep in mind that it's not always possible to walk to Manta Bay, sometimes large ocean waves don't allow you to hit that spot. This place is popular for divers too! Although this is probably where divers go on speedbot.

We had the best time touring around nusa penida snorkelling and catching the views on land. Eka was a great tour guide and took us to all the best spots.

One of the worst experiences of my life. Mass production snorkeling to spots that shouldn’t be snorkeled due to conditions. Too many people, too many boats. Follow that with a ridiculous ride around an island with horrible roads only to wait your turn for a “insta-worthy” pic. A complete waste of a day.

  • The fish were beautiful

Experienced a rarely bad organization. - too few sanitary facilities (2 toilets for 100 people) - no time to enjoy, it's just a rush from one point to the next - we could not get a planned lunch because there were too few places. Others have waited over 1.5h for the very simple food (chicken nuggets or skewers) - we had included photos in the price that we have not received to date - Of the promised 4 snorkeling points we are only 3 headed (no Manta Bay). This would be ok if it had been communicated sufficiently. Instead, the focus was on explaining how much you pay when you lose your equipment. Conclusion: there is a star for the colorful fish and the driver who tried. I recommend everyone to visit the island only if you need photos for Insta. For everyone else: the fish are worth seeing. Compares the providers.

Unfortunately, this day did not meet my expectations. The only positive thing was that on 1 January we Snorkel stop actually spotted a manta ray and diving close to you was impressive, but there are the 2 stars. For the rest of the tour I would have given zero stars. I don't have a comparison in Bali, so it's hard to say if it's basically like that, but I was in Egypt & Turkey on such day trips. So organization & communication were extremely bad. I waited 70min in the hotel lobby because it said I will be picked up between 0630 - 0650. 20min buffer I can understand, but I couldn't have breakfast because of it & waited until 0740h without anyone getting in touch. A "no go" for me. Pick-up was in a minivan. This was occupied down to the last place. For me, of course, understandable but the about 1h to the harbor is not more pleasant. At the port, it's a mess. Except that I - from anyone - got a sticker on my arm no communication how the day goes. There was no water there either. At the destination port then chaos again & lots of garbage/dirt. It's a shame to see that people obviously don't care. Organization here also disaster. Nobody knew exactly where they belonged and what would happen next. Issuing equipment was like at the grave table. Fins in 2-3 boxes where you had to dig through yourself. LifeJackets weren't there enough, but not everyone needs them. Again, hardly any communication. Sometimes names were called, but had to be very close to the "guide" to hear it & what, when next happened was always a surprise. When divided on small boats, a similar picture. After more than 4h (0630-1000) there was the first bottle of water. Snorkeling was then at a total of 3 spots. Always about 15-25min and there were always many boats on site, so pure mass tourism, but OK, that was also the case in Egypt. But much better organized there. Lunch was included but the island was really not nice, especially because of all the garbage. Again, nobody knew what to do after diving. Somehow I learned from another participant that there is a return option around 1230 or 1500. I chose the earlier option, but lunch was not ready in time, so you could not take something with you on the ship as I said. Once at the port it was not clear how the return transport was arranged. Luckily had the WhatsApp from the driver in the morning & he then took care that a driver drives us (4 people from 3 different hotels) back. Was then about 1430h back at the hotel without having eaten a bite. When I write this I should only give 1 star...

Unfortunately the snorkelling masks were too wide for my head and took on water. As a result I couldn’t see beneath the surface. I asked the crew, but no alternative was available. The land tour was pretty, but crowded. Good just for photos if that’s what interests you. Our guide couldn’t speak English soo we relied on ChatGPT to tell us about the places we visited. The food was modest in size but quite tasty. In general the staff were friendly and the tour was on time. For the price I wouldn’t recommend it, particularly in the wet season as no Mantas were seen by those who dived.

  • Experience a little disappointing, this excursion perhaps deserves to be made with a private boat.

Stormy sea .... It’s a bit of a factory, the rays were not there, and the different buddies are not charging each other. The staff is friendly. The views are beautiful but very touristy. Maybe an excursion to do differently.

A lot of rubbish and plastic in the water, general areas and car parks would not recommend to others. Drove over poorly maintained road to get to the location for lunch. Our driver was a shocker he couldn’t drive to save his life
