Each passenger is required to complete a medical questionnaire prior to their skydive.

All persons over 95kg are subject to Tandem Master assessment at the drop zone.

The minimum weight is 40kg/88lbs and all passengers must be big enough to fit safely into the harness.

Passengers under 18 years of age must have written consent from a parent or guardian.

Risk Warning: Your participation in parachuting activities is inherently dangerous and may involve risks. These risks include, but are not limited to those arising from prevailing conditions such as weather or health conditions you may have. Despite careful packing, the parachute may open abruptly or not open correctly which may result in injury. Unintended incidents may occur during the aircraft flight, descent or on landing.

Parachuting is done at the parachutists' own risk. Any person parachuting, training to parachute, flying in any aircraft being used for parachuting or participating in any activity carried out by Skydive Wanaka or NZONE may only do so on the distinct understanding that they do so entirely at their own risk.

What To Expect

Tandem Skydiving the Ultimate New Zealand Activity! Once you decide to #embracethefear with us at the best place to skydive in New Zealand. Our skydive host will assist you to gear up and you will be briefed by one of our Tandem Masters. Your flight to altitude will take you high above the Wakatipu basin, where you will have a birds eye view of our dramatic mountains and lakes. Jumping directly above our drop zone you will experience freefall of up to 60 seconds before your Tandem Master deploys the parachute and together you glide back to earth. My family of 4 booked the tandem skyjump from 12000 feet and it was one of the best adventure experiences for us. Booking on the Viator website was easy. We were lucky with the weather and were able to do the skyjump on the scheduled day (just got delayed by 30 minutes). The positives - The skyjump tandem instructors are knowledgeable and they make every effort to ease our fears. They gave easy and clear instructions and video recorded the entire experience. We felt safe and comfortable to do the jump despite being our first time ever. The skyjump location in Queenstown is breathtaking with a beautiful view of the mountains, the lake and the greenery all around. Things that can be improved - The debrief can be given at the sky jump location itself instead of insisting us to visit their store in downtown for 30 minutes and then heading to the dropzone. The debrief video itself can be posted on the website for all the jumpers to view before hand and avoid waiting time. The price of the video recording can be reduced especially when compared to the jump itself. All in all still a worthy adventure experience that anyone visiting Queenstown must do.

An exciting experience, with safety prioritised, good instructions , careful checking of kit. I stayed firmly on ground and my teenagers , 17 and 18 did it Do the 12000 jump ( more free fall and best value ,

I never imagined I’d go skydiving—but I gathered some courage and went for it! NZone manages the entire experience with absolute professionalism. The instructors are true experts and make you feel completely at ease. If you’re on the fence, just do it. The feeling after the jump and landing is incredible. Honestly, it’s only uncomfortable for about 20 seconds, and once the parachute opens, it becomes peaceful, with stunning views all around. It’s an unforgettable experience. Go for it! 🪂

Nzone Skydive is one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had in my lifetime! First of all, I would like to thank the manager Alex for being so accommodating with the circumstances that we had in regards to our flight and the cancellations, and without him we wouldn't have been to even do the skydive in the first place. Additionally, I would like to thank my tandem, Lima! He was an amazing instructor and was hyping me up the whole way! This is a must do in Queenstown and a once in a lifetime experience! Thank you NZone!

It was a very good experience. Me and my daughters took 12,000 feet dive and my wife took 9,000 feet dive. Personally I don't feel a difference between 9k and 12k fall (It is a matter of few additional seconds of fall but a huge difference on the cost). The staff in NZone were very friendly and it was a smooth and safe jump for all of us.
If you’re in Queenstown and thinking about doing a skydive, just do it.

OMG, NZONE Skydive in Queenstown was totally crazy!😱 The super cool staff, make you feel safe and relaxed from the moment you arrive. And the views... wow, amazing! Jumping out of the plane is scary, adrenaline and excitement all at the same time. Instructors are fun and professional, make everything super memorable. If you're in Queenstown and you're thinking of parachuting... do it! It is totally worth it and it is an experience you will never forget.
Lima is #1. Let’s do it again!

Lima was so great! He prepared me step by step for every part of my first flight. I’d definitely fly with him again! My teen girls went with Jarod and Jakob. They had a blast! Very professional staff. Great experience!
Got us hooked on Skydiving! This is a crazy operation and Nzone has it perfected.

Everything about this experience was PERFECT! The scenery was STUNNING and everyone we interacted with from the office to our jump masters were an 11/10. My jump master was Tiby and he made the whole trip perfect and fun despite my hesitations. I hope everyone gets to experience something like this in their life. We didn’t purchase the photos and I personally don’t regret it. The photos package was very expensive and it was oddly nice to be able to just enjoy the fall without feeling pressure to smile for a camera. My wife and I did the 9000ft drop and thought it provided the perfect experience to cost ratio.

Absolutely stunning place to skydive. With an amazing scenic flight up around the mountains, a fantastic free fall and time under canopy. Very professional company, the skydiving instructors were so skilled and fun. Had a blast!
