Go here, enjoy and have a great time in an old town with burros and lots of people enjoying the atmosphere. The drive from Laughlin was fun and scenic.

The Oatman Mining was so good. So many stores and donkeys roaming free, The donkeys are so cute. We got caught in a flash flood the road was washed away. The driver kept us informed on when we could leave the area and head back to Laughlin. On the way back the driver took his time. He was wonderful and so was Oatman.

What a delightful experience! Sarge was our guide and he was fun to be with careful driving and allowed my fear of heights change the itinerary so we had more time in Oatman. I would NOT have wanted to find Oatman by myself nor parking although our day was pretty quiet I was told. We enjoyed burro walking the streets, even got a safe picture with my husband, found fun Christmas gifts to take back home and store for the holiday. The Saloon was closed for the day post big motorcycle's annual event...probably had to go food shopping, but we found another down the street and they were love and we were musically entertained. The gun fight was fun and all for a good cause.

Bonkers. This was an off-the-beaten-path stop but 100% worth it, especially if you love animals. It’s not your typical tourist attraction (basically you just interact with the burros as you wander around the Old West town. The shops sell approved food to give them). About 20 burros hang out in town, but if you drive 5 minutes past the townsite you see even more in the hills.

The burros are very friendly and you can buy a bag of food for them for just one dollar. They also live out of town on the road going into Oatman and you can feed them there too. The Oatman Hotel has a very nice restaurant, ice cream shop and bar. Everyone is very very friendly and you will find a lot of really great shops in town. Plan on spending about two hours there.

This little town does not look as nice as these pictures . BIG advice to parents with children make sure that you or your kids never ever stand behind a donkey ...I just witnessed a little 8 year young girl who was walking passed a donkey from behind. The donkey kicked her so hard that SHE FLEW 3-4 FEET in the air before landing back on the ground . I heard the sound of the donkey kick her and when she hit the ground she was screaming . Her upper part of her ear was severed and to be kicked that hard in the head :( This town had NO SIGNS warning of this danger. The MOM and Dad had an accent so they were probably were from another country . They had to call an ambulance . NO SIGNS . I rate this place as disgusting for that reason. If it wasn't for our tour guide I would not have been as aware of the dangers ...

Had a great time with a worry free, laid back time that came on time and just what we expected. The sidewinder road was our favorite part but oatman and Kingman was fun also. Do yourself a favor and get out of the casino and enjoy some desert time. Picked up and dropped us off at the door of our casino. Highly recommend
