Are you ready to soar over waterfalls, zoom through pristine native forests, and be enlightened through a hands-on cultural and ecological experience in Okere Falls, Rotorua? If so, then Rotorua Ziplines has you covered. Suitable for a wide range of ages and abilities, a network of ziplines, swing bridges, and boardwalks will have you in awe for 2.5 hours as you fly, walk and gaze at the stunning taiao (Environment) that is Ōkere.
Born through an intimate connection with the Ōkere Awa (Kaituna River), this joint venture between Ngāti Hinerangi and Rotorua Rafting’s Ōkere Falls born and bred, Sam Sutton, has been created to showcase its mauri (spirit) and importance with Aotearoa’s soon to be premier zipline experience.
Ensuring that our taiao is enhanced through the very operation will have every guest leaving a tree in their name as Rotorua Ziplines reforestation project plant its way towards 60,000 native trees by the end of 2025 to see Ōkere Falls thrive for generations to come.

What To Expect

Zip Over Kaituna River: Fly above one of NZ’s most famous white-water rivers as the rapids roar beneath you. Waterfall Magic: Glide through the forest and over THREE breathtaking waterfalls. Native Forest Fun:Swing bridges, boardwalks, and ancient trees make this trip unforgettable. Māori Stories & Reforestation: Discover local history and how your adventure helps restore this special environment. Risk Disclosure Ziplining is an adventure sport, and while Rotorua Zipline follows the highest safety standards under NZ’s Adventure Activity Regulations, there are inherent risks involved. These include slips, trips, and exposure to heights. You’ll be fully geared up and briefed before takeoff. Follow your guides’ tips, and you’ll be soaring like a pro! Have a medical condition? 5.00I must admit, I was scared to do this, but Jonny and Rafa were great, and made me feel safe. In the end I loved it and was glad to do it with the family, as it was a great bonding experience. We also really liked the local info that they gave us, the cup of local tea, and the fact that they plant a tree for every Zipline visitor

5.00If we could give this Zip line experience 10 out of 5 , we would!! Everything was an absolute joy! The zip lines through the pristine forest, over stunning waterfalls was breathtaking! The birdlife was prolific , and the environment was beautifully looked after by the company. Lex and Alina were extremely professional, but still made it fun. We would definitely do this tour again😀

5.00Had a great afternoon with Ethan, Jonny & Johnny. An amazing experience with some beautiful scenery. The guys kept us entertained as we went sailing through the trees. A must do.

5.00We did zipline with instructors Rafa and Maria. Both were great instructors who provided guidance and were very funny and good to engage with. We spent 2 hours for the entire experience; views were beautiful.

5.00What a fantastic experience: flying over the waterfall, the river and even upside down. Counselors Lex and Alina were great. Took all the time, personal attention. And she knew to tell a lot about history, culture and especially nature. And afterwards we received dozens of videos and photos of sometimes adventure. 10 stars!

5.00Omg what a bloody amazing trip !!! We went at 9am on the 21st Oct and both of our tour guides were brilliant & made the experience so much better. As someone that hates heights they were patient and helpful and by the end I was chucking myself off with all confidence. I would 1000% recommend this to anyone
The staff made me feel at ease, they are well experienced and listened to the type of experience we wanted.
