Are you ready to soar over waterfalls, zoom through pristine native forests, and be enlightened through a hands-on cultural and ecological experience in Okere Falls, Rotorua? If so, then Rotorua Ziplines has you covered. Suitable for a wide range of ages and abilities, a network of ziplines, swing bridges, and boardwalks will have you in awe for 2.5 hours as you fly, walk and gaze at the stunning taiao (Environment) that is Ōkere.
Born through an intimate connection with the Ōkere Awa (Kaituna River), this joint venture between Ngāti Hinerangi and Rotorua Rafting’s Ōkere Falls born and bred, Sam Sutton, has been created to showcase its mauri (spirit) and importance with Aotearoa’s soon to be premier zipline experience.
Ensuring that our taiao is enhanced through the very operation will have every guest leaving a tree in their name as Rotorua Ziplines reforestation project plant its way towards 60,000 native trees by the end of 2025 to see Ōkere Falls thrive for generations to come.

What To Expect
Get ready to zip, zoom, and wow through Rotorua Ziplines! This isn’t your average trip — it’s a 2.5-hour adventure soaring over lush native bush, waterfalls, and the iconic Kaituna River. Zip Over Kaituna River: Fly above one of NZ’s most famous white-water rivers as the rapids roar beneath you. Waterfall Magic: Glide through the forest and over THREE breathtaking waterfalls. Native Forest Fun:Swing bridges, boardwalks, and ancient trees make this trip unforgettable. Māori Stories & Reforestation: Discover local history and how your adventure helps restore this special environment. Risk Disclosure Ziplining is an adventure sport, and while Rotorua Zipline follows the highest safety standards under NZ’s Adventure Activity Regulations, there are inherent risks involved. These include slips, trips, and exposure to heights. You’ll be fully geared up and briefed before takeoff. Follow your guides’ tips, and you’ll be soaring like a pro! Have a medical condition? 5.00We did zipline with instructors Rafa and Maria. Both were great instructors who provided guidance and were very funny and good to engage with. We spent 2 hours for the entire experience; views were beautiful.

5.00What a fantastic experience: flying over the waterfall, the river and even upside down. Counselors Lex and Alina were great. Took all the time, personal attention. And she knew to tell a lot about history, culture and especially nature. And afterwards we received dozens of videos and photos of sometimes adventure. 10 stars!

5.00Omg what a bloody amazing trip !!! We went at 9am on the 21st Oct and both of our tour guides were brilliant & made the experience so much better. As someone that hates heights they were patient and helpful and by the end I was chucking myself off with all confidence. I would 1000% recommend this to anyone

5.00This is an incredible experience. Our guides Maria and Lucus were a vibe - entertaining, encouraging and knowledgeable about local history and flora and fauna. Ziplining over the river provided awesome views. The last one where you can (if you want to) hang upside was a huge hit with everyone on our tour. The team provide free photos and videos afterwards which were fabulous and a great added bonus. As well as the tree that will be planted as a result of our visit. 12/10 highly recommend.
