Fascinating tour to learn about the history the gold rush in this area. Enjoyed the stop at the Goldfields Mining Centre and trying my hand at gold panning. Would loved to have had an extra 15 minutes to explore the shops on Arrowtown's main street.
A morning well spent. Seeing the local sites and enjoying some cultural history.

An excellent tour. The guide was very knowledgeable and supplemented the tour commentary with good local insight. It was a nice mix of Cultural Heritage and Natural Heritage. The stop at the gold mining museum was fantastic, we were given the history of the local gold industry from a person involved directly in mining. The old but still working equipment displays were great to see and we then spent some time panning for gold after some good instruction. Highly Recommended.
