Took the Old San Juan walking tour with Bori Local Tours and it absolutely exceeded expectations. Our guide Mariana was phenomenal. The depth of history and education she brought to every stop made the streets come alive in a way I never could have gotten from a guidebook or self-guided walk. She has this gift for weaving the bigger story of Puerto Rico, the colonial layers, the resistance, the culture, into the specific corners and buildings we were standing in front of. You walk away genuinely understanding the place, not just having seen it. If you're visiting San Juan, this is a must-do. Don't skip it thinking you'll "just wander around," you'll miss 90% of what's actually there. Book the tour, ask for Mariana if you can, and come ready to learn. Five stars without hesitation.

We were so glad we fit this experience into our trip! Mariana is a wonderful tour guide. Her knowledge and passion for Puerto Rican history is evident, and there were so many hidden gems we would never have discovered on our own. We learned a lot, while having fun and laughs along the way.

Our visit to Puerto Rico was already amazing, but Mariana truly made the experience unforgettable. She was incredibly knowledgeable and walked us through the rich history and timeline of both Puerto Rico and San Juan in such an engaging way. She took us to several important landmarks and hidden hotspots, helped us capture beautiful pictures, introduced us to the local vibe, and even got us a beer during the tour 🍻. On top of that, she recommended one of the best restaurants we visited during our entire stay — absolutely incredible food! Mariana’s energy, kindness, and passion for the culture made the whole experience feel personal and authentic. If you’re visiting San Juan, I highly recommend taking a tour with her. It was informative, fun, and honestly one of the highlights of our trip.

My tour guide truly impressed me with her efforts to communicate with my brother and me, who are Deaf. Fortunately, she was my guide because she knows a bit of sign language! We communicated back and forth by typing on notes on my iPhone, and she even signed some words! In fact, Deaf people often miss important information and historical details because tour guides who don’t know sign language. My brother and I visited various places, learning about their histories and took some photos. The views were breathtaking! ! If you’re Deaf or any disabled, please ask for PEBBLES! She was an amazing guide!

Wonderful way to learn about the history of Puerto Rico and see places in Old San Juan that we would not have found on our own. Pebbles was fantastic. She has a vast knowledge of the history of the country and the city. She made sure we got an insider's view. Ending the tour as the sun was beginning to set.
