  I had an amazing experience exploring the Omo Valley. We visited several tribes including the Mursi, Karo, Hamer, and Banna, and also spent time in Konso. The itinerary was very well organized, with stays in Jinka and Turmi in really nice lodges throughout the trip. The company owner, Minalu, was excellent—always quick to respond, answered all my questions, and was very flexible in adjusting the trip to my preferences. Everything felt personalized and smooth from start to finish. Our driver, Fahmi, was not only skilled but also very funny, which made the long drives much more enjoyable. My guide, Sergjo, was outstanding—extremely knowledgeable, great storyteller, and spoke perfect English. He explained everything in a clear and engaging way, which really enriched the whole experience. Overall, a fantastic trip with a great team. Highly recommended if you want to explore the Omo Valley in a well-organized and authentic way.

  The trip was very well organized. Minalu is a very serious person and true to his word; he did everything we agreed upon.   I had an absolutely amazing experience with Top Omo Valley Tours. Minalu was so helpful tailoring me "my perfect tour" which included birdwatching and tribes. It was absolutely authentic. Bruke was an amazing and experienced driver, Sergio a great guide. I even had the chance to see the bull jump of the Hamer tribe. What an experience!!!!

  We chose the 6-night tour from Jinka to Arba Minch. Excellent communication with Minalu who has well adapted the program to our needs, following us thoughtfully even during the journey. We had Fami as a good driver who behaved well on the bumpy roads full of obstacles, and Sergio as a good guide who with his creative mind helped us take beautiful photographs. 3 great people.   Fantastic time! This tour company and all its employees are so reliable, trustworthy, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. We saw 2 young men cow jump from the Hamar tribe! Loved the hair styles of the Hamar women & the lip plates of the Mursi women. Overall, we would rate this company A++++!

  We joined a 3-day Omo Valley tour in November. The owner, Minalu, was extremely responsive. He patiently answered all our questions and provided detailed explanations before the trip. We booked our own flights, but the airport was unexpectedly shut down and our flight was canceled during our trip. Although this was not his responsibility, Minalu went above and beyond to help us rebook flights, arrange transportation, and get us to another airport. Thanks to his quick action, our trip was not delayed at all, and we had a wonderful experience!

  Thank you Minalu and Top Omo Valley for organising a once in a lifetime family journey for us!!! We reached out to Minalu a couple months before our trip in November 2025, and the communication was very efficient and quick. Minalu was always supportive and flexible. He even changed a couple of hotels for us upon our request! He was always available and easy to reach, also during our trip through Omo Valley. Only a few days before our trip was supposed to start in Jinka, the flights got cancelled and the airline never let us know. It was Minalu who contacted us and sent us a revised itinerary straight away. He made the changes feel easy and not such a big deal. We really appreciated his flexibility and adaptability. During our 8 day tour through the Omo Valley we were able to visit 9 different tribes ( Dorze, Konso, Arbore, Hamer, Karo, Dassanech, Nyangatom, Banna and Mursi). It was fascinating and an absolute privilege to be able to get to know how the Ethiopian tribes live and continue with their traditions till this day. We based ourselves in Turmi for three nighs and did quite a bit of driving from there. The roads can feel quite heavy sometimes as they are a mix of concrete and unpaved. But our careful driver Dani, made us feel safe every second. The car was always clean and ready for us, he would even undust our suitcases after dirty roads! Our most cherished experience was eating a goat with the Hamer Tribe one evening. Our guide knew we were always after the most authentic experiences, so he organised to buy a goat from a Hamer Tribe and they cooked it in the woodfire for us. It was truly special and a moment we will never, ever, forget. They were also very accomodating and respectful of our wishes - like eating at local restaurants instead of hotels. We had the best Tibs of our whole Ethiopian trip thanks to Solomon, the coordinator. I highly recommend discovering the Omo Valley with Top Omo Valley Tours. • Trip of a Lifetime - Magical and Enriching.

  From the booking of this 7 day trip six months ago I was in constant contact with Minelu in the office. He guided me as to what to bring and expect and I had a feeling I was in for something most special. I’ve been to Ethiopia over 25 years but this week was among the most profound and deeply moving weeks of my life ! The tour encompassed 10 plus tribes and all was done at a leisurely pace that my friend and I could enjoy some quality time with each community getting to learn the local customs and meet locals who were so welcoming. Minelu was a tremendous host and I was overjoyed to meet his family and spend an evening with him discussing Ethiopia and my beloved Liverpool football club with him over some fine local beers. His guide Solomon and driver Dani were simply wonderful - Sol with a remarkable knowledge - Dani with the driving skills and musical taste that made all roads seem short and smooth. They like Minelu became friends - languid friendly and charismatic Ethiopian greats. Our itinerary was pitch perfect regarding timing and the people we met. Local guides from each tribe were helpful and knowledgable and we had fun with all. OMO tours hit my senses on all counts - such a rich rich experience - I say Ethiopia is a “long dissolve” to visit - I will seek joy and intrigue from my memories of this week in September all my days. Minelu - Sol- Dani dear friends thank you. I will return.

  Our guide Solomon and driver Danny were the absolute best! Solomon was exceptionally helpful, kind and knowledgeable. Danny navigated the sometimes difficult roads with care. We felt as though we were in the best hands. Southern Ethiopian is a really unique and fascinating part of the world. We would have had a hard time without Solomon taking care of us every step of the way. Solomon speaks 5 languages. He knows all the best places to go. The itinerary was just right. The accommodations were very good for a place off the beaten tourist track. Don't hesitate. Highly recommended!
