Taroko National Park
One of Taiwan’s most famous destinations, Taroko National Park is known for its marble canyons, lush forests, and towering peaks. The Liwu River has carved the stunning 18 km Taroko Gorge, where sheer marble cliffs rise above turquoise waters. Our visit includes highlights such as the Taroko Gorge Entrance Arch, Visitor Center, and scenic viewpoints along the gorge. Although some trails remain closed due to the April 2024 earthquake, your experienced guide will take you to the best open spots with breathtaking views and hidden photo opportunities. We dedicate a significant part of the day to exploring Taroko, with short walks, plenty of photo stops, and a relaxed pace. Sightseeing duration may vary with traffic, weather, or park rules, but your guide will adjust the itinerary to ensure the best experience. This full-day tour usually lasts around 8 hours, so starting before 8:30 AM is recommended.

5.00A thoroughly enjoyable day of sightseeing and culture with our tour guide Alex! We visited a number of sights throughout the day with Alex providing information and commentary on everything we saw! He also advised on some itinerary changes that might be suitable due to some poor weather. We enjoyed a delicious lunch of Xiao Long Bao that was some of the best we’ve had in Taiwan! Overall a wonderful day and very well priced tour with a great guide! Alex also took some wonderful photos for us!!

5.00We had a great time with Jimmy on our day trip to Taroko Gorge! He was super kind, knowledgeable, and most importantly flexible and responsive to our needs as we had young kids in our group. We weren’t sure what to expect with Taroko NP only partially open but it was very impressive. We also appreciated how Jimmy went out of his way to make sure we tried local foods and had a good experience. Very highly recommend!

5.00Perhaps one of the most knowledgeable guides I've had anywhere, Vincent has a deep understanding of the geologic, hydrologic, and anthropologic histories of the area. Taroko itself is still recovering from an earthquake [April 2024], and although this limits accessible sights, it also means it's less crowded.

5.00Highlight of our Taiwan trip - the scenery is a absolutely beautiful! While some tracks are closed from the earthquake in the previous year, it was still great to see the gorge and support the local community as part of rebuilding the tracks. Highly recommend!

5.00This is an excellent tour! Jimmy was extremely attentive and knowledgeable. He took some excellent photos for us. We learned a lot and were to enjoy some incredible once in a lifetime views. His recommendations for food and snacks were the perfect compliment to an amazing tour. 10/10 would recommend!

5.00While it might be a little more expensive than others, the tour was very personalised. Our guide Vincent was very familiar with the National Park as he used to work there. So we got a lot of first hand information. Vincent was awesome, the day was well planned and delivered, and communication was excellent.

5.00Highly recommend this trip and Sam was very knowledgeable about local history. While the Taroko Gorge trails are mostly closed, the drive through and stops to see the marble are still worthwhile. Would recommend this trip as the other stops are enjoyable, including the walk to the river falls.
