The trip to Rome from the port will take about 1-1:15 hours, during which we will talk to you about the history of the city, its founding, divide the whole chronology of Rome into several parts and eras, in order to then make it easier for us to get acquainted with the Eternal City. Our first stop is the most beautiful view of Michelangelo's magnificent work, the dome of St. Peter's Cathedral. This place creates a unique visual effect that you will witness.
Fontana dell'Acqua Paola
After Pope Paul V restored the ruined ancient Roman aqueduct he wanted to build a large fountain in his honor, which for 100 years was the largest fountain in Rome. We will go to the Janiculum hill and see not only this fountain, but also one of the most beautiful Roman views.

I started communicating with Alex in February and finally had the opportunity to meet him in July, and he was everything I hoped for and more. Our private tour guide, Alex, was extremely knowledgeable about the history and culture of Rome. He was personable, professional, engaging, enthusiastic, and had a great sense of humor. Alex is truly one of the best, and we thoroughly enjoyed our two days with him. Rhonda

This was an outstanding experience. If you want to understand Rome not just with your eyes, but with your heart and soul, book this tour with Alexandr. His knowledge is unmatched, his storytelling is captivating, and his ability to weave together centuries of history with charm and precision is nothing short of masterful. We began our day at the Fontana dell’Acqua Paola, one of the most underrated yet majestic fountains in Rome. Alexandr explained its connection to ancient aqueducts and papal power with such depth, we found ourselves seeing water as political history! Next came a peaceful pause at Caffè Settimiano in Trastevere. It felt like we were being welcomed into a local morning ritual. From there, we entered Vatican City, where we toured St. Peter’s Basilica in reverence. Next we visited Santa Maria Maggiore, a basilica rich with layers of Christian, Roman, and artistic history, including the final resting place of Pope Francis. Each site added a new chapter, and Alexandr brought them together in a seamless narrative that made everything click, as well as explaining hidden messages conveyed in the masterpieces. Driving past Piazza Venezia and Colle Capitolino, he pointed out the rise and fall of empires—turning a quick car ride into a historical time warp. And then came the view: the perfect vantage point to take in the full scale of the Colosseum. No crowds, no chaos—just the kind of photo and memory you dream of. We ended our journey back in Trastevere at Trattoria da Teo, a gem of a restaurant where we shared an authentic Roman lunch. It wasn’t just a meal—it was a celebration of everything we’d just experienced. Alexandr didn’t just show us Rome. He made us feel Rome. The city’s layers, power, beauty, and contradictions all came to life in a way that was immersive, awe-inspiring, and unforgettable. If you want the kind of experience that stays with you long after you leave, this is it. Ten stars. Bravo, Alexandr. We are forever grateful.

Once we got to Rome, the tour was better but the drive to our guide/driver took 5+ phone calls and took 2+ hours to get there - driver was sick, coughing yet talking on the phone after telling us he had no voice … there was supposed to be water, wine, sweets in car according to your ad but we had to buy water at the stops. It was a good tour but not the best.

Alexandr took us to so many amazing places, and taught us so much about Rome. I do not think a group tour would have encompassed a fraction of what we got to see in a day. We had an amazing lunch that our guide recommended. The whole day was totally beautiful and I could not have asked for more.

This was not our first time in Rome, but our tour was amazing! We saw a lot of new places and experienced in a different way the ones we had seen once before. Our guide was incredibly punctual, professional, we learned a lot of interesting and new things, it's rare to see someone so passionate about what they do. Thank you, Alexander. Grazie, Roma. We will remember these incredible emotions for a long time!❤️
