Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine
Start your tour at Fushimi Inari Taisha, the head shrine of over 30,000 Inari shrines in Japan. Spend an hour exploring this iconic site, known for its thousands of striking vermilion torii gates. These gates form a seemingly-endless path which you can wander through on your visit. Originally dedicated to the gods of agriculture, Fushimi Inari is not just a spiritual center but also a symbol of breathtaking beauty and cultural significance.
Kiyomizu-dera Temple
At Kiyomizu-dera, one of the most iconic temples in Japan, walk across the impressive wooden stage, which juts out from the hillside and was constructed without the use of a single nail. The temple boasts a wide view overlooking Kyoto and the beautiful surrounding nature. You can also drink from one of the three rejuvenating streams of Otowa Waterfall, said to bring success, love, and longevity.

This was worth every penny. Maiki the tour guide was excellent. Couldn’t ask for anyone better. She gave great instructions. Get ready to do a lot of climbing stairs to reach the Temples and steap inclined walking paths.

Convenient way to see Kyoto if you have limited time. My family and I were staying in Osaka and this is a great way to have a quick overview of Kyoto. I found this tour, very reliable, ample time, and just a huge convenience factor of navigating all the different sites.

Unfortunately, this tour didn’t meet our expectations. While our guide was very kind and friendly, there was almost no information shared about the temples, their history, or the local area. We were hoping to learn more about the cultural significance of each site, but instead, we were mostly left to explore on our own with little context. The schedule also felt rushed—we didn’t have enough time to truly take in the beauty of each temple or enjoy any of the local shops nearby. It felt more like a quick walk-through than a meaningful experience. We appreciate the guide’s kindness, but overall, the tour lacked depth and organization. With a few improvements—especially providing more historical background and allowing more time at each stop—this could be a much more enriching experience.

Our driver and tour guide were both friendly and professional. Our tour guide was particularly helpful and provided us with some excellent photographs.
