Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine
Start your tour at Fushimi Inari Taisha, the head shrine of over 30,000 Inari shrines in Japan. Spend an hour exploring this iconic site, known for its thousands of striking vermilion torii gates. These gates form a seemingly-endless path which you can wander through on your visit. Originally dedicated to the gods of agriculture, Fushimi Inari is not just a spiritual center but also a symbol of breathtaking beauty and cultural significance.
Kiyomizu-dera Temple
At Kiyomizu-dera, one of the most iconic temples in Japan, walk across the impressive wooden stage, which juts out from the hillside and was constructed without the use of a single nail. The temple boasts a wide view overlooking Kyoto and the beautiful surrounding nature. You can also drink from one of the three rejuvenating streams of Otowa Waterfall, said to bring success, love, and longevity.

We had a wonderful time exploring Kyoto with our guide Maria. She was a perfect guide and there was the right balance between guided tour and free time to explore. The 4 spots we visited were all so different and beautiful.

Had an excellent experience with Naomi from Limon. Short on time, we did the tour from Osaka and covered a lot of ground. The bus was easy and allowed us to rest and have cover from the unrelenting summer Japanese heat (and spontaneous rainstorms). One note is that we had a tour bus (50-passengers) for three passengers, which ultimately became six participants. That seemed a little nuts and not sustainable. Nevertheless, we visited beautiful sights and had a yummy lunch. Naomi took lots of pictures, was very caring for my family and had wonderful tips and insights about each of the areas visited.
