Take advantage of a round-trip transfer from Warsaw. When you arrive at the site, you will embark on a 3.5-hour guided group tour of Auschwitz and Birkenau with a English speaking Guide. Start in the Auschwitz concentration camp and learn about how it was established by German Nazis on the outskirts of the town Oswiecim in 1940.
After this, head over to the Birkenau section of the concentration camp. Discover how, in 1941, 3 km from Oswiecim, in the former village of Brzezinka, the German Nazis established a new camp called Auschwitz II Birkenau. In 1942-1945, approx. 1.5 million people lived and died here. In 1979, Auschwitz – Birkenau Concentration Camp was listed as a UNESCO World Culture and National Heritage Site.

What To Expect
Panstwowe Muzeum Auschwitz-Birkenau
You will see Auschwitz and Birkenau Camps with the local English-speaking guide. Sightseeing will take around 3.5 hours and it is a group sightseeing. We start from the hotel (or apartment) in Warsaw in the morning. Pick up time depends on the time that we have the entrance to the Museum in Auschwitz and is confirmed one day before the tour. Journey from the pickup point to the attraction takes 3.5 hours - 4 hours one way. Total sightseeing time is around 3.5 hours. After sightseeing we start journey back to Warsaw, another 3.5-4hours travel time. If you need, the driver stops for the lunch on the way. Total tour takes around 12 hours.

3.00I was under the impression that the group of 7 I drove with be our own tour. We met up with other tours and there were too many people. If you didn’t walk in the front, you would hear information via headphones 2 minutes before seeing the spot that was discussed. I also had a hard time understanding the guide. I could have learned more just by reading Wikipedia. You are better off hiring a personal guide instead of this tour with at least 30 people. I am only recommending because it’s important for people to visit.

5.00Highly recommend this experience. Driver picked us up straight from accommodation and drove us to the tour, a few hours away. Driver had tickets and tour organised making it easy for us to just walk in with our group and guide. Amazing experience, couldn’t recommend the tours and this experience more.

5.00I was surprised to learn that booking the experience does not guarantee your visit, which is not the tour company’s fault. Auschwitz released a limited number of English speaking guides per day and you are also competing for a spot against others visiting the museum/memorial. I booked the tour over a month prior to my visit date. 3-4 days before, I got a message from Agnieszka asking me to switch days to accommodate the tour. I was unable to switch days, but she made sure I was able to get a spot to tour Auschwitz on my preferred day. I found out about 24 hours prior to my tour that I would be going. I appreciated her efforts to ensure I was able to see Auschwitz and her flexibility in assisting me. I was picked up by Adam in a van and escorted down to Auschwitz. It was a 3.25 hour drive one way and he makes as many stops as you need. Highly recommend. It is worth the price and the long day.

5.00It is a very long day with lots of brisk walking and minimal breaks. Our driver was prompt and our guide was very informative. You need sunscreen,hat,umbrella for shade. I suggest taking lunch and maybe fruit and have it when you get there as this will be your only chance. It is very very busy and tours keep moving through. They have vending machines there with fresh sandwiches and drinks. Water is very rarely cold. Our driver provided water also but not cold.

5.00Highly recommend this tour by car from Warsaw to Auschwitz. Driver picked me up at 6:40am from my hotel, the tour company secured the tickets to Auschwitz, there were 5 of us total on the tour in a 9 passenger van. It was about 3 1/2 hour drive and the driver Dominic was amazing. Once you arrive your driver hands you off to the tour guide and you join a larger group. That tour guide takes you through Auschwitz for about 2 hours, then you take a bus with the group to Birkenau where the tour guide again meets you and takes you on a 45 minute tour. After you meet back up with the driver and head back to Warsaw (3 1/2 drive). Recommend eating breakfast and bringing snacks because you don’t have time to eat lunch but the driver was great and stopped on the way home for us to eat.

5.00The driver was very kind to us and even after we arrived in Auschwitz, he prepared us for the transfer and tour in the best way possible. It is a long way from Warsaw, but it was easy to get there by car. This is a one-day project, so we were able to include it in our travel itinerary.

5.00What a wonderful adventure. The tour operators were very helpful and flexible with making changes to our pickup arrangements. They are experts. Special recognition to Maciek, our driver. He was spectacular! Our pickup and drop off times were within one minute of the projected schedule for our 12-hour journey. He was so pleasant, courteous, and provided all the information needed for our tour. He is a “five-star” person. Thank you also to Michal and the rest of the tour guides.
