  Rudy our guide was fantastic, a really sweet man who looked after us very well! I Wanted to leave this review here to let people know that getting to the Senaru crater rim and back in one day is HARD. If you don’t consistently gym/run/cycle between 3/4 days a week at minimum then don’t do this (unless you love to hurt). This hike isn’t heavy on the chest/lungs but it is extremely heavy on your lower body and knees. There are two directions on this hike, up or down and it is relentless, there is no in-between. If you have bad knees or have known them to give out on long hikes, wear a brace because they will go on this hike and you may do irreparable damage. I would even suggest a brace for those who don’t know, just in case. That being said, it’s incredibly rewarding and you only realize just how crazy a hike with 2000m elevation gain in a single day is once you’re on the way down and think wow this is steep…like really steep. We had an hour at the rim, you won’t get much longer if you want to make it back the same day. The view is incredible and totally worth the pain. In all the hike is challenging, rewarding and an experience to remember. I recommend Jou trekking.

  We had an unforgettable experience with rody and his team! They were incredibly helpful and accommodating, especially when my mom's slower pace required them to adjust their tempo. Initially, we thought a one-day trip would be sufficient, but rody and his team recommended a two-day trip, which turned out to be a great decision. The extra day allowed us to truly appreciate the beauty of nature, including the stunning night sky and breathtaking sunsets and sunrises from two different spots. The food provided by the team was not only delicious but also came in huge portions. rody excellent English and helpful nature made the experience even more enjoyable. If you're not used to trekking, I highly recommend opting for the two-day trip – it's definitely worth it!

  One of the best experiences of my life, I’m so happy to have been through Jou Trekking, it made all the difference. Our guide Rudi was great, super professional but also communicative, listening, funny, motivating, the porters are also super inspiring, the whole team was really nice, we spent wonderful times with them and laughed together. They cooked us delicious meals (we talked to other people who had chosen other companies and they lacked food), we really had 5 star meals every day, we lacked everything. There was a fire at Camp 2 because someone threw a cigarette butt (the importance of being respectful of the environment and not throwing away cigarettes or waste!) and rudy offered us another route, it bounced very quickly and we found this second exceptional route, we were even able to swim in rivers and shower, what a joy! Thank you for everything to the whole team, we will leave with you without hesitation! Ps: they also lent me shoes because I only had sneakers and I couldn’t find hiking shoes for women and my size in the shops, thank you also for that!

  We choose the 2D1N formula and had an amazing experience with Joutrekking, from the pick-up all the way up to Rinjani! Our guide Nas and the porters are outstanding and made the trekking unforgettable, and incredibly smooth! They adapted their pace to our rythme, provided us with yummy food all along the trek and were incredibly kind, generous and smiley during the whole trip! Thank you for this unforgettable experience and for the swift organisation, it was all worth it thanks to you, 6/5 stars !!

  My boyfriend and I went on the Mt. Rinjani 2D1N crater rim trek with Lim as our guide. We were extremely impressed by Lim and our two porters, who ensured we were well-fed and lacked for nothing. They truly seemed like superheroes, and I am amazed by their abilities! The trek up Rinjani was challenging, but the team organized it well and the breathtaking views from the top made it all worthwhile. The porters found us a wonderful camping spot, and waking up to the view of the crater from our tent was truly unforgettable. highly recommend limit and his porters to anyone considering the Rinjani trek - our experience was fantastic.

  Rudi was such an amazing guide and brought us safely to the crater rim in about 5 hours walking with a headlight starting from 12am at night. He carried all of the food and snacks and little drinks and was always so cheerful ☺️ thank you for the best experience on Mount Rinjani! Please give these guides good tips; they deserve it so much for their hard work and friendly as well as happy mood.

  My sister and I had the greatest experiance climbing the Rinjani Mountain with Jou and his team of porters. This was such a stunning journey through the jungle and a very impressive mountain. Our guide Jule (I hope the spelling is correct) was a very experiensed, pleasant and competent guide who did the outmost to create this great experience: From cooking fantastic meals during the climbing to helping in any ways. For instance by carrying a lot of our heavy tour equipment and making sure we got very good tents and the best experience and view of the fantastic Rinjani mountain.   My girlfriend and I did the one day Trek Mount Rinjani with our tour guide Meng. Meng spoke excellent English and was extremely knowledgeable of the area. The trek was challenging but worth it. the views were stunning. meng cooked us breakfast with hot tea on the top crater was amazing. I would highly recommend if you are in limited time but still want to hike Mount rinjani

  I did the one day tour and It was much more difficult than I thought but I Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to challenge themselves and would highly recommend doing it with Jou Trekking. They had everything organised and were very friendly and communication was great, Thanks a lot!
