5.00This class was one of the highlights of our stay in Yangshuo! Throughout our travels in China, opportunities presented themselves to do a bit of calligraphy here and there. This class, however, was thorough and extremely educational. Wei picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel, and he provided us with the history and cultural importance of calligraphy in China. He taught us several characters, starting with basic strokes and working our way up to more complex characters. Wei provided constructive criticism as necessary, to improve our strokes, despite our inability to actually read any Mandarin! Wei's English is excellent and he gave us all of the translations we needed of the characters we were writing. I highly recommend this class!
