Roatan is famous for its beautiful reef and what better way to enjoy than scuba diving. We offer a variety of packages for you to choose from. Such as, Shipwrecks, wall dives, caves/cracks and drift dives. While diving with us prices include equipment if you don’t bring your own.
Our equipment is all high-quality Mares scuba equipment which is maintained by the professional staff at Mares, this ensures our gear are in top-notch conditions for safe diving.
Our staff are all local islanders that love the ocean and will enjoy showing you the beauty that our reef has to offer. We are located in the small town of French Cay which gives us easy access to the best dive sites in Roatan. We would love to take you on an experience like no other, where you will witness the most beautiful dive sites and help you learn about the interesting marine life in Roatan. We want you to have a great time diving in Roatan with us, so we keep our group sizes small to ensure you receive an excellent service.

What To Expect
Once you follow our detailed meeting instructions, you will find one of our representatives holding our sign with Roatan Ocean Adventures(ROA) on it at each meeting point. Once you find us we are off on a 15 to 20 minute car ride to our dock. After the excursion is over we will be taken you pack to your cruise port, where we will drop you off inside.

5.00Another fantastic day with Herbert and his amazing team! We’ve been customers since he opened years ago. Love that he now offers scuba diving in addition to his other tours. I appreciate that the entire team is from French Harbor in Roatan and not the mainland looking to make a fast buck or from outside Honduras taking jobs from locals. Their commitment to preserving thr marine ecosystem around the island also makes me want to recommend them to everyone. I run a scuba travel business and will be working with them in the future since they’ve added diving. We did a two tank dive with a surface interval at Brady’s Cay which just ended up being the perfect day.

5.00It was absolutely beautiful! The wall was fantastic! Lots of wildlife. Only a 5 minute boat ride but It was another world. The owners and staff were knowledgeable and enjoyed their work. They took underwater photos of us for free!

5.00Very reasonably priced. Small mom and pop type operation. Very kind people. Poor country and this company is definitely not fancy or formal but the dive was great. It wasn't a private tour but it was just me and the guide and another crew member (my husband came along for the boat ride only). We went to a shipwreck and over some beautiful wildlife. I saw trumpet fish, lobster, shrimp, a seahorse, squid, a grouper, tons of barrel sponges and beautiful colorful coral. We were down for 45 minutes, I still had 1500 air left when we went up (started with 3000). We did a 3 minute safety stop. Guide reviewed safety and flora/fauna hand signs with me before the dive. Big stride off the boat, easy access back up the boat via a wide ladder. No issues with equipment. Family owned. We drove 20 minutes from the cruise port to their place, then a quick 5 minute boat ride out to the dive site.
Shipwreck, Coral, and Seahorses. 100% recommend!

5.00Roatan Ocean Adventures was FANTASTIC! My son had wanted to see a shipwreck and we found Mr. Budd and arranged to go with Roatan Ocean Adventures. This was our first dive after certification and both my son and I were a little nervous, as it was twice as deep as we had ever been. It was raining that morning, but the sea was calm and the sun came out just before we got on the boat. Visibility was fantastic. Brandon was amazing. He made the whole thing easy, fun, and adventuresome. He helped us with all the gear, had everything we needed, and even found me a dive case for my older model GoPro (apparently, if you go deep enough the buttons get held down by the pressure and it ceases to work well, so you need a case. Who knew?) Brandon helped us get the exact dive we wanted (shipwreck + coral), find a ton of fun things, and not worry. We saw three seahorses. The colors are so vivid they look unreal. Bring a GoPro if you have one. It is seriously amazing. The water was 81 to 83 degrees (in December!!). We didn't need a wetsuit, as the lowest we went was 63 feet. I recommend wearing a swim shirt. The dock is very close to Mr. Budd shipwreck. It was just my son, me, and Brandon diving and it took about 2.5 hours in total including transit time. They picked us up at the port, had all the gear, and dropped us off with zero issues. I would do it again. The price was great, the service was great, and I 100% recommend Roatan Ocean Adventures to anyone.

5.00Great experience off cruise ship. Easy pick up just after exiting cruise port. Weather was not cooperative, so they suggested a one-tank dive rather than the two-tank dive I had originally booked. Appreciated the care taken to provide a fantastic dive. Equipment is new and included in rate. The reef was a short boat ride from the dock and in beautiful condition. Garrett led me on a memorable dive. Will return.

5.00Amazing experience and these guys were such great guides. Brandon helped set up a combo snorkel and dive excursion since part of our family snorkels and others scuba. Absolutely incredible service and even picked us up from infinity bay. Definitely will use these guys again.

5.00We highly recommend Roatan Ocean Adventures, especially to everyone interested in Scuba Diving. They are a truly local and family business in Roatan and we had a truly wonderful experience from start to finish, with our one tank dive. They even called us to let us know that the arrival terminal in Roatan had been changed last minute. The pick up and transportation were perfect. Gearing up and getting on the boat was equally fast and smooth. Our scuba dive guide/dive master was incredibly nice, patient and experienced especially when my wife had some issues equalising from one ear. The site was great with a shipwreck, great abundance of corals and a beautiful wall. On the way back we spent a lot of time chatting to Herbert, the manager/owner, who was extremely proud to be a "local", born and raised in Roatan. We even received plenty of complimentary underwater photos of our trip. Highly, highly recommended!!!

5.00I had an amazing time diving with Herbert from ROA. Both dives at 40 ft. Point and Mr. Bud (wreck dive) we’re nothing short of spectacular. Service was kind, professional and caring and I’m definitely coming back. ROAs are a bit of a swish army knife of your Operators. While I was diving; the kids were canoeing and petting sloths. Amazing. A locally run and owned business (which 95% of the locator operators are not). Two thumbs up. Do them a favor and book directly with them (they accept PayPal!). That way you support a local business directly.
