Great experience but the money I paid... The people for m my boat they paid less than half. Other people paid less than me for the whole boat. I cannot recommended hiring with you since the price I got it's so high. I cannot feeling quite dumb Staff were great

  • Overpriced, try and go through local operator

Firstly, this is an amazing experience. The kelotok boat, the guide, the food on the boat were top notch ! Experiencing the rainforest like this was a once in a lifetime experience, however, there are various things visitors should be aware of with this booking through viator 1) it will probably be cheaper to book through the local company themselves as I found out I was paying more than double what my fellow companions in the group were paying 2) It didn't seem that the high cost of this trip was really being invested into the boat or the crew! Very basic amenities for the high price including non flushing toilets but all the boats seemed like this. The crew and guide were locals living a very frugal life despite the price per person in this excursion! I suspect very little profit reaches them sadly and they are really the ones who make the trip what it is! NB seeing animals is not guaranteed. After the first day, we didn't see any orangutan despite visiting 2 other feeding camps. Heavy rain meant we couldn't experience the fireflies.
