Meet your guide outside Torvehallerne, in front of Un Mercato (Frederiksborggade entrance). After a short introduction, the tour begins inside the market halls. Your guide introduces Denmark’s modern food movement and explains how collaboration between farmers and top chefs has shaped New Nordic cuisine. Arla Unika: Torvehallerne - Begin with a tasting of award-winning cheeses from Arla Unika, served at Michelin-starred restaurants and crafted in collaboration with top chefs.
On charming Nansensgade, guests visit Riviera Bakery, a small artisan bakery known for its exceptional Danish pastries. Here, guests enjoy a freshly baked seasonal pastry while learning about Denmark’s strong baking traditions and the role of craftsmanship in modern Copenhagen food culture. This stop highlights the quality and simplicity that define contemporary Nordic baking.

Why this tour stands out: Culinary Variety: You get a fantastic insight into Danish cuisine that goes far beyond the classic Smørrebrød. Everything was fresh, authentic, and absolutely delicious. 5.00Great experience to learn and sample some of the food history and revitalization of the Copenhagen food scene. I was surprised with the intentionality for high quality food on this tour - almost all foods were organic and locally sourced - each restaurant committed to organic and local sourcing. All stops were great, and ranged from light candies to hearty Smørrebrød

5.00Julie did a great job guiding us around this culinary tour. She was very friendly and knowledgeable about Copenhagen and the local food scene. We loved the open faced sandwich shop and the candy store most of all. These are places we wouldn’t have stumbled upon on our own. So fun!

5.00Cecilie was a fantastic host. We loved the whole experience . Lots of interesting information, tasty bites and great tips . This was our first ever food tour and the marker is set high. Would definitely do it again. My only tip is do it at the beginning of your trip not near the end. Rookies mistake!
