Part of the reason Maui has been so popular year after year is due to the breathtaking sunsets. Sure you could just watch from the beach or your hotel lanai, but a front row seat out on the water, sipping some cocktails, enjoying some awesome pupus (appetizers) and hanging with fun people sounds more appealing. Whale watching is included from Dec 15th - April 15th!

This was a great way to see the whales and have some music and drinks while you’re at it. We all enjoyed it until the end. Right on the middle of everyone oohing and aahing at the very active whales our driver put on the gas and beelined back to the drop off spot. People were literally all leaning into the railing trying to video the whales doing their tricks as the boat was in full sprint home. We got back a few minutes before the tour time finished and missed the end of the sunset. Watched it sink from the beach instead. When a group of people pay to watch the sunset and are fortunate enough to see whale activity, is it really going to kill your to let them watch? Two other catamaran tours were idling so their guests could watch the whale “show”. Other than those two things the rest was fun. I could recommend this tour if I knew we’d actually watch the sun sink into the water from the boat and if I knew our driver would respect that most of the guests don’t see whales on the regular so when they are showing off he would let us watch. Last quick point - it would be so great if there was food on the boat that people with food allergies could enjoy. No gf or df options. Just an fyi. I’m used to it but it sure would be nice.
