If you want to feel at home in Osaka there’s no better tour. The kindness Ayako showed to myself and the knowledge she shared is a memory I will hold onto for a long time. This is a very laid back tour and that was the best part. You could ask any question, you could sit at a small table and share some of the best food I’ve had on my vacation. I’d encourage anyone who wants some good food and some even better company to do it.

This tour was fantastic! Keiko was informative, articulate, and genuinely friendly and approachable. Her deep love for Osaka was evident in the way she spoke about the city’s culture and traditions, as well as in the hidden food spots she shared with us. I loved that authentic Osaka snacks were included in the tour price—including the famed octopus balls! The experience was a great way to explore Osaka’s lively hotspots, complete with a fun local train ride that made us feel like true residents. Keiko also shared a thoughtful cultural insight I won’t forget: in Japan, it’s considered disrespectful to eat while walking. Her gentle reminder was both kind and educational. To top it off, she went above and beyond by recommending excellent restaurants and bars afterward—all of which were spot-on. Osaka is an unforgettable city, and Keiko’s tour made it even more memorable. Highly recommend!

Ayako was the best, such a good tour guide. Gave us a little of history and such incredible food to try. I recommend this a lot as Osaka can get overwhelming with the amount of food spots it has. Would love to come back and take another tour with Ayako

Tour was fab, got a real sense of Osaka from our local guide Chiyoe! She took us around Shinsekai Market we tried snacks and sake, then went to a conveyor belt sushi place which was amazing! Then went towards the Namba area, and had the famous takoyaki (octopus balls) and ended at the dotonburi running man. Tour was great, and Chiyoe put in such effort to ensure we enjoyed ourselves and learnt about Osaka! Also visited two shrines and learnt about the history. Was a great way to start our trip to Osaka!

This was a fantastic experience! Chiyoe was extremely knowledgeable and lovely to spend time with. She went out of her way to make sure we had a great day. Everything we tried was delicious and I learned a lot about Osaka at the same time. The food highlight for me was the pork bun I tried, it was very tasty. I highly recommend this experience, you will be pleased you did it!

Really informative (and delicious) food tour! We ate great food and heard lots of interesting details along the way. The highlight though was Chiyoe who was incredibly generous with her time and even took us through the Namba Yasaka shrine because we had mentioned we were planning on seeing it at some point. Definitely book!

I must have been blessed by Billiken, the god of luck, to have experienced such an amazing food tour in Osaka with Keiko! From the very first stop to the last bite, every dish told a story — rich with flavor, tradition, and warmth. I had the chance to try so many varieties of foods and tastes that truly showcased the city’s incredible culinary culture — from sizzling street snacks to hidden local favorites that I’d never have found on my own. Keiko is absolutely wonderful — knowledgeable, friendly, and full of passion for Osaka’s food and history. Her enthusiasm made every stop even more special, turning a simple tour into a memorable journey through taste and culture. By the end of the evening, my heart (and stomach) were full and happy. As they say in Osaka — “Kuidaore”! ❤️ -Adriana
