Great explanation about the food and drink. I was expecting at the end a dessert plate just to get familiar with Japan cuisine and desserts menu . Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful.

Our tour guide Mark was amazing, and we sampled so many great foods from Osaka/Japan! This was the best tour I did in Japan, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to try a wide variety of foods!

Our family’s tour with Mio, and six other guests from around the world was fantastic. The food and drink were excellent and plentiful, by the end of the evening we couldn’t eat another thing! We were introduced to lots of local Osaka cuisine (including the famous Takayoki) and the other guests on the tour were a delight to spend the evening with. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone coming to Osaka. Thank you Mio for a wonderful evening!

Our Osaka Food Tour. The wife & I did a food tour of the Ebisuhigashi area. Firstly, we meet (Other food tourists) at the top of the stairs at exit 1 of the Dobutsuen-Mae Station. Our food tour guide was Dom. First impressions, you would think if you were going to do a food tour in Japan, you would probably be best served by a Japanese person but behold; we had a Scotsman. Yes! you heard me, a Scotsman! What would a Scotsman's know about Japanese food we asked (and I sure you would ask). Well, it turns out quite a lot. Dominic (or Dom) has been in Japan since the early 1990's and can speak fluent Japanese (and French, no not swearing, the language), loves Japan, the culture, climate and the Japanese. He gave us the history of the food and some of the very old establishments in the Ebisuhigashi area. Overall, a very interesting and enjoyable night, we highly recommend the experience. Thanks for the night, Dom. Here's looking up ya kilt Mate. LOL Cheers Peter & Andrea

This food tour was a great experience! Marie was a super knowledgeable guide who you can tell has a passion for Osaka! We went to places we wouldn’t normally go into which made the experience that much better. I loved trying the foods locals love. Plus we got to speak and get to know other tourists which is fun too! Would recommend this tour!!

We had an amazing experience on the food tour with James! He spoke excellent English, which made everything easy to understand and enjoyable. What really stood out was how knowledgeable he was—not just about the food, but also the history and culture behind each stop. He shared interesting stories and made the whole tour engaging and fun. If you’re looking for a guide who is friendly, informative, and passionate about what he does, I highly recommend James!

We had an absolutely fantastic experience on the food tour organised by James. His explanations were clear, engaging, and full of interesting insights that really brought the experience to life. The added advantage of him being British was the cherry on the cake—it made the whole tour feel even more relatable and enjoyable.the language and accent of English was just so close to home. Despite managing a large group, James was incredibly patient and ensured everyone felt included throughout. The way he conducted the walk, seamlessly blending food, drink, especially the vegetarian options and conversation, was truly impressive. His ability to keep everyone engaged and connected made the experience stand out. Overall, it was a wonderful evening—fun, well-organised, and thoroughly enjoyable. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a memorable and engaging food experience.

I truly can’t believe how much food we ate on this food tour. We went to 5 restaurants and ate over 15 dishes. We also were able to get three alcoholic drinks for no additional charge. Even though it was raining, Yuki made sure we had a terrific time. We got to try all Osaka’s specialties. Truly recommend!
