5.00Awesome way to enjoy the tradition and sport of Sumo. Excellent venue and atmosphere. Learned a lot and had a great time. Our guide Elly was extremely knowledgeable. Her love of Sumo creates added excitement to the festivities.

5.00i wrote a much more eloquent review but a trip advisor bug wiped it...0 stars for them 5+ stars for elly! she is a passionate sumo fan, so not only did i gain an understanding of the rules and traditions of the sport, i was just as excited as she was for her favorite wrestler's bouts. elly gave us encyclopedic levels of knowledge on the history of sumo, and she is also super keen on the business operations of the association. no question was left unanswered. i hope to watch sumo with elly again in the future!

5.00Elly is passionate about Sumo and her knowledge makes the experience all the more memorable. Being able to deeply understand the ceremony, rules and wrestlers meant we came away with a much better connection to Sumo rather than just watching on our own.

5.00The meeting point is at the train station near the Stadium. People with mobility issues need to make arrangements, since the steps leading up to the stadium seats are steep.

5.00Elly is passionate about Sumo & explained its traditions, history, game rules & current wrestlers standing very well without being geeky. I learned a lot & appreciated the snacks & use of sumo towels for her fave wrestlers. She showed the East entrance/passageway which I would not have known if I DIY. We were able to see & photograph/video the.competitors & referees up close. This was a bucket list item I splurged on & 1 of main reasons I went to Fukuoka. I am really glad to have taken the tour with her.

5.00We had a great time at de Grand Sumo Tournament in Tokyo. We missed out on tickets through the official ticket sales so we went for the guided experience and didn't regret it for a minute. After a short introduction to Sumo wrestling we went to the arena. In time for the introduction of the second highest ranked Sumo wrestlers. The seats had a good view of the doyho. Although we did prepare for our first Sumo tournament it was a great added bonus to have a enthousiastic guide with great knowledge of the (history of the) sport, the wrestlers and the fans.
