This tour covers many of the must-see attractions of the city center: Walk the ramparts of the fortress which has protected the city since the beginning of the 1300s, and since then has been the scene of many events in Norwegian history. The fortress has been a castle, a prison and a warehouse and is now host to 3 museums. See Kristiania Torg, which used to be the heart and soul of the city. If you are short on time, but still want to cover the main attractions, this is the tour for you. The tour ends on Karl Johan near the Parliament.
The tour starts every Saturday at 2 pm.

Fact filled, humorous, fast paced, engaging tour. Tons of information about Oslo, Norway history, and why it is important to beat Sweden in any sporting event. Walk was quite brisk with at least one steep, long climb to look over the fjord and get pictures of a breathtaking sunset plus view of the city. Fabulous introduction to Norway for those with little knowledge other than it is dark, cold, home of the northern lights, Nobel Peace Prize, and Edvard Munch. Our guide was outstanding.

Hello from Uruguay! We joined this tour as part of the Oslo Pass we purchased with my wife. The tour gives you a really nice glimpse of the city. Erik was our guide, again, so we were thrilled! He told us stories about every spot and even answered some questions about Christmas traditions (my wife loves Christmas). Highly recommend this tour!

It was very interesting. The most important information of the city presented in an interesting way. You don't walk much. It starts from visitor center, goes near Opera and then to the fortress,...It ends in front of the Grand Café. I loved the panoramic view from the fortress. With Oslo pass this tour was free. We went in Visitor center twenty minutes before departure. There are about 40 people and for this reason we separated into two groups. In this group of 20 people it was easy to follow the story and this was really a great advantage.💕

Jens (I think), the guide, was great! Lots of anecdotes, lots of personal! And no question remained unanswered! Clear recommendation!

If you have two hours it's definitely worth it. It's nice having someone explain the significance of certain structures and art and the tour guide did a great job.

We always always take an organized walk in any new city that we visit. This one was the most disappointing. First of all there was a problem with checking people in and the walk started 20 minutes late. Then the guide took off like a bat out of hell and did not wait for the group to catch up with her before she started her commentary. She also had a voice that did not project well, and it was difficult to hear her. She would be looking at the site that she was describing instead of talking to the group. I will acknowledge that it was a fairly large group and it was a very noisy Saturday. However, I don’t think the guide was up to the task.
