Discover the majestic Oslo fjord and its islands like a local, hopping on and off ferries to hike the forests, sea cliffs, charming villages and historic sites of two-three islands (season-dependant). With a local guide, explore the fascinating ruins of a nearly 1000 year old abbey, picnic on a hidden beach (Oct-Mar, a small stop with hot drinks will be provided) and walk the flower-covered paths of a village full of brightly painted, traditional wooden cabins. The backdrop for this tour is the stunning water views of Oslo and its surrounding hills, with picture opportunities around every unexpected corner. Don't forget a swim suit and towel in the Summer months as there is time for a swim in the surprisingly warm waters of the Oslo fjord! Time for a picnic lunch is included and participants are encouraged to bring their own lunch. Good walking shoes or trail shoes are recommended as the hiking is done on dirt paths, gravel and stones.

We loved this experience which involved taking the ferry to 3 different islands which all had such different history and cultures to hear about. Would not hesitate to recommend this tour.

What a great tour. Clarice guided us on three islands and each had unique characteristics and held historical significance to the Oslo Fjord. The four hour experience flew by. I would highly recommend this experience.

Alicia was really good and she took us to the best view spots and shared a lot of historical information and facts about the Viking history and the history of Oslo Forge

Well organised small group tour (there were 12 of us). Each of the three islands was a little different with the longest journey time of just 20 mins. Paul, our guide, was very knowledgeable and informative with perfect English.
