Was cancelled 2 days in a roll because “there were not enough people in the group”(min. 5 and we were 4), converting in a private tour was suggested or full refund. I ended up taking the air con bus from Cebu 4€ and arriving in Moalboal by myself, sorry Viator and Cebu tour. Waiting for the refund.

It is a super long day but SO worth it. Serious, once in a life time stuff. The guides and the boat men are all really friendly and helpful. Definitely hire the gopro. You'll want to have the footage to look back on.

It was absolutely AMAZING. It was a very LONG day, but definitely worth it. We got up at 2:40am, and got back 10:00pm. There were only two things I wouldn't happy about it but I would still recommend ANYONE to go with this tour. Things to improve, 1. communication, we got a text from Viator at 5pm the day before. we tried to call them and also asked the hotel to call the local number. There was no one picking up. We got little concerns since this was our first time in the Philippines with a young kid taking this tour. They could have communicated little earlier. 2. Dropping off, the driver was GREAT, he picked us up first at 3am with a young kid, it was very hard to get our kid up and when we come back, the driver could have dropped us at 8:30pm when we got back from the city, since we have a 6 year old. he dropped off us last. I understood the driver was going by the order we picked up, but I would HIGHLY appreciate if he can consider people with young kids and not listening to other guests who in the car to talk over him and try to drop off them first.

Snorkeling next to the giant turtles and thousands of sardines was the best! There is a guide that swims with you and your children and looks after them so well. For usd 12, another diver/swimmer will take underwater photos the whole time. Be prepared with cash to pay for extra services and tips because you will want to! Our driver (Julius) and guide (JayR) were great and very attentive to our small children! The drive is very long and going for tours of the provincial towns, markets and heritage churches a day before then staying closer overnight would have been a nicer way to plan this trip.

This tour started at 3am and ended back at out hotel by 8pm. Was picked up in an old van with seats too close together and no legroom (never seen seats so close - I’m 177cm tall so average for a Caucasian male), noisy and rattly, had no suspension and was totally uncomfortable/unsuitable for such a long day. After picking up at different hotels around the city, th day started with a 3hr+ drive to Oslob where we walked to get tickets to the whale shark swimming, then walked back to have breakfast that was one egg, toast and a banana and coffee/juice. Then went to Tumalong falls. Pretty dally but not that impressive. Then back to wait for the next 90 mins before we could do the whale shark swimming. (on a side note - it was the Easter holidays and it was a busier day than normal apparently !). The whale shark experience is a line of boats where you go out then jump in the water and they steer the sharks past you by feeding them. The sharks are only babies - about 5m long. If you’re after a natural whale shark experience this is not it! We then had a Filipino lunch in a beachside restaurant that was nice and sufficient food. On a positive note, our guide at Oslob, Noel was awesome and looked after us well and catered to our needs with pleasure. He was also entertaining and caring. Unfortunately the tour does not provide a guide for the whole tour. The trip was very disjoined and all the tourists on the trip needed to meet each other of their own accord. Noel guided us through the whale sharks and the falls but then left us. After Oslob, the driver took over for the remainder of the trip. The driver then took us to Moalboal where we had to pay for flippers (150 pesos - optional) and then eventually went on a boat to Pescador Island to go snorkelling. The boat is extremely noisy (as they seem to be here) and there are no facilities or anything on it. Staff were not really engaging but nice enough. Snorkelling was rubbish with not much to see but that is apparently due to the recent typhoon. Was not worth it. Next the boat took us to swim with the turtles. There was one turtle. Next we went to swim with sardines. This was probably the highlight of the day with a large school of sardines that you could swim with. After getting back to shore there no showering facilities. So now wet, hot and sticky and salty Then back in the sardine can bus for another 3hr + ride home. This day was exhausting physically and mentally and overall disappointing. No water or food outside breakfast and lunch was provided and no specific stops to buy your own either. Too much packed into this tour to be enjoyable especially with the poor outdated transport and lack of facilities provided. If the van had been more comfortable this trip would have been slightly more tolerable. To make this tour more bearable the tour company needs to: - provide a guide for the whole day and be clear about the intentions for the day and each experience - provide updated and comfortable transport - this is an approximately 18 hr tour. - provide some water or at least some stops to allow purchasing of drinks and food/snacks.
