• Excellent tour event(s) experience combined with poor internal communications and shady currency exchange rate

  The experience overall was fantastic. The tour operator was flexible in allowing an alternate pick-up and drop-off site for the group, which was appreciated. Free morning breakfast of sticky rice and mangos, and extra stop at a waterfall location, the zip line addition, and a delicious lunch during the canyoneering added to the main attractions of the whale shark watching and canyoneering. The reason for the 4 star rating is due to internal communication issues and being charged more than quoted to add additional people in the exchange between Philippine pesos and US dollars. After the group was picked up, driven to the first event and fed breakfast, the tour guide said the group owed money for the addition of two people to the group (10,400 Php). This had already been paid online, and if there was any question about funds due, this should have been brought up at the pickup point. It took nearly an hour for this to be cleared up, as the tour guide insisted they needed confirmation from the office, despite being shown confirmation of payment emails. The second issue was the amount my credit card was charged for the addition of two people to the group. Again, this was supposed to be 10,400 Php, yet my credit card was charged $221.00 USD. The official exchange rate at the time was over 61 pesos to the dollar, yet I was given an exchange rate of 10,400/221 = 47.0588. I hold Viator , and not the tour operator, responsible for this piracy.

  The swimming with the whales was ok, except I didn’t go in the water because the goggle and breathing tubes are not sanitized. Who knows, those tubes have been in so many mouths already. Not good

  It was a private tour with my parents and it was worth every dollar! We had a tour guide, Princess, for the whale shark snorkeling who was very bubbly and fun to be around. She was very attentive and accommodating to our needs throughout the day. For the badian canyoneering, we had 3 tour guides Lloyd, Miriam and another nice lady who privately guided us throughout the whole canyoneering excursion. The excursion was very long and can be draining, but they made sure we were safe and were having fun throughout the 3 hour canyoneering. Miriam was constantly checking in on us and she was very kind and amazing to be around. They took lots of great pictures of our family for us to remember the experience. The only thing is that the website said all activity fees would be included but when we got to the canyoneering, we were told it was 600P per person for zip lining to the canyoneering or we would have to take a 30 min walk. It would have been nice for the website to let us know in advance to bring that extra money for our tour. Also, be prepared to come a couple hours later than expected due to traffic. Other than that, the experience was a once in a lifetime excursion and was well organized. Our tour guides Princess, Miriam, Lloyd really made the experience memorable and fun! Huge thanks to them!

  Great trip, enjoyed both the whale sharks and the canyoneering. Both groups of tour guides were amazing without flaws. Mike was an amazing tour guide with the whale sharks! Super friendly and supportive throughout the entire activity. During the canyoneering we were assigned amazing tour guides also, Bonkie and Jundy both with many years of experience. Overall this trip was an amazing experience and totally worth the small price to pay.

  What an amazing day! The team, namely Roly, Leonardo, Kim and Jason (apologies guys if I mispelled your names) will make sure you will have a banana on your face, and in case anyone is scared, they will turn fear into a nice dopamine shot. First, we took zip-line, heads down of course! Wow, what a ride! Then 3hrs walk along the canyon with multiple jumps, Tarzan-like swing, dragging on the water, team singing and laughing, jokes cracking, etc. In general having a good time. I was a bit disappointed 16m jump was not available due to the typhoon aftermath (some stones were thrown at the bottom making the landing spot too shallow for such a high jump, maybe next time -guys if you read this review and have knowledge this jump is back on track, please let me know!). We finished the day with delicious lunch prepared by the guys' aunt (thank you Madame for stunning saigons!) And the sauce! We need a recipe when we come back one day. The other food was also great, but at least for me saigons concluded my day! Overall we were thrilled. What an amazing experience!. Unforgettable. Keep up the great work guys!.   Canyoneering was great - very adventurous and worth it. Whale Sharks is a must do one time thing, but it is not a repeat for me. A one time tour - too much of a hassle - get up early, long travel, long wait, too crowded etc.

  The 4 of us loved the whole experience!! Ronel picked us up right on time. Maria was fantastic getting us sorted at the whale sharks. The sharks were amazing. The guys at canyoneering were the best. They were very friendly, attentive and made sure we had the best experience. We had a fantastic day overall. Ronel got us back to our accommodation.   I'm not sure if this was the company we used as we booked it at the Shangri-la hotel. In general the whale shark experience is magnificent. The sharks are harmless and gentle although this is not for everyone. The sea is choppy and you need to hang on to outriggers and snorkel to be able to see the sharks swim by. They feed the sharks from 8am to 1pm to keep them close and visible to the tourists. There is a crowd waiting to go out in the boats so arrive early. Next, the canyoneering experience is extreme and not for those that are not fit. It's about 3-4 hours of non-stop climbing, swimming and hiking on uneven ground. The guides were terrific and kept us safe. The canyon is beautiful and worth a visit.

  My tour guide Danica was wary and on time ready and excited to help us enjoy an experience of a life time she is very knowledgeable about the tour and other guides and helps make it the best experience, our driver Arnold was very patient and kind and did a great job getting us from the hotel and back with many rest and adventures inbetween to stretch our legs. The whale sharks where incredible very docile creatures not affecting there everyday feeding was so exciting to watch and be so close to witness these majestic beast

  We had the best time at Oslob and canyoneering!! There was rain the whole day but our tour guides were always in good spirits which encouraged us to make the most of it! The shark whales were incredible to look at and be so close to and the canyoneering was so much fun our tour guide gave us a few facts about Kawasaki falls since the hurricane! Would recommend even if there’s some rain! It’s an unforgettable experience!
