Escape The City is a connected treasure hunt, a kind of outdoor escape game – or Live City Game – which lets you explore your city in a fun way and as a team!
What is the principle?
Once your team is formed, a mission will be offered to you by a digital companion directly accessible from your smartphone. You will then have to investigate in search of clues, solve original puzzles and interact not only with your guide but also with your teammates.

What To Expect
Follow the orders of Admiral Guillaume II de Penhoët – called Tors Boiteux – to prevent the English from taking the city of Rennes. Immerse yourself in the Middle Ages and rescue the Bretons by discovering and putting an end to the plans of the invaders. The game starts when you start the discussion with the chatbot corresponding to your mission. After giving him your access code, he will give you the details of your mission. You can then go on an adventure and walk the streets in search of clues. Observe your surroundings, solve puzzles, and interact with your digital companion (as well as your teammates) to complete your quest. The necessary equipment : - A charged smartphone with internet access (1/team mandatory – 1/player recommended) - A notebook and a pencil (1/team)

5.00We went with a group of friends and time passed without us realizing it. Using the phone is very convenient; the system works perfectly. The concept of the game perfectly matched the historic atmosphere of the center of Rennes. It was an excellent exercise for the meninges and a pleasant walk.

3.00After a difficult start, we finally got back into the game after more than an hour. Too bad to have to find to start a word finally English that disturbs us bcp. Then gradually the puzzles become clearer .... Escape game that still very nice but not for neophytes

4.00We park in the center, at Place des Lices, where we hoped to find the market open, very famous, but today it is Sunday and it is closed. We are still in the old town, and Rennes is famous for its half-timbered houses, very colorful. The old town is very characteristic. You can see the town hall, the opera house and the cathedral of Rennes. We also see the Porta Mordelaises, which was the main entrance to the city from the 15th century onwards. Apparently, it is one of the few remains of the ramparts of Rennes. The city is very beautiful, but unfortunately there are also things that are not beautiful: all over the city there are smashed shop windows; for months in France there have been demonstrations against raising the pension from 62 to 64 years, and last week there were right here in Rennes. They smashed the windows of all the banks, without exception, and most of the clothing stores. You can see many shop windows hit by sticks, and many windows covered with plywood. It's still essential to prepare for the rain. It rains a lot in this area.
