Doune Castle entrance included in tour price. In Outlander, it’s the fictional Castle Leoch. And in reality, it’s a stunning castle with a tall gatehouse, an impressive great hall, and lovely views of the River Teith.
Falkland
You stop at the small town of Falkland to relive the first scenes of the show, where Falkland represents 1940’s Inverness. See if you can recognise the familiar sights such as Mrs Baird’s Guesthouses and the Bruce Fountain.

Great tour of some interesting historical landmarks in the area north of Glasgow & Edinburgh. It was themed around the Outlander tv programne, but you didn't need to be a fan to appreciate the history. One castle we visited was used for the filming of Monty Python & the Holy Grail and 'horses' were available to purchase from their gift shop! The tour was hosted by Grant - a lovely local guy - with lots of interesting historical facts & fascinating snippets to bring the journey to life. A fab day out!

The tour is approachable for Outlander and non-Outlander fans alike. The tour guide made the information relevant for all participants, and made it fun while sharing information on the sites. For this tour, there was a change in the itinerary; yet, the company communicated the information early and found a lovely substitute.

This was all in all another excellent guided tour by Rabbies. I really enjoy these smaller group tours. Our lovely guide Kaitlin (Caitlin/ Caitlyn?😬) made the experience unforgettable. She was very knowledgeable on Scottish history in general and in relation to Outlander. She also had a good playlist ready with different stories relating to the songs and she cracked great jokes. Both Blackness castle and Doune castle were unfortunately closed for filming. This was a big bummer for me but Rabbies had arranged some beautiful replacements! The only improvement I would love to see is to spend 60 minutes at Midhope castle rather than 30. This is the highlight for a lot of people doing this tour and it did feel a little rushed. I wish I’d have time to walk in the forest and do the QR-code tour available.

We throughly enjoyed the Outlander tour with our guide Old Cameron. It is far more than Outlander, we learned so much about Scotland and Scottish history. It was fun to. Is it many of the sights from the tv series and we received much advice about our safety and comfort too. Highly recommend.

This tour was great. Our tour guide/driver was a young lady named Caitlin and her companion Ghost. She was nothing less of exceptional. Caitlin was knowledgeable, entertaining and accommodating. Moved us around from location to location, with timely snippet’s of knowledge, folklore and entertaining music. Maintained a great schedule which provided ample time to explore locations enjoy the atmosphere and take in the scenic locations. She was fantastic and if you can request a specific tour guide, she is the one.
