Blackness Castle
Blackness Castle, featured as Fort William in the Outlander series, is our next stop. Upon arrival, your guide will provide a brief history of the castle along with an Outlander demonstration. Afterward, you'll have time to explore the rest of the castle at your own pace, soaking in its rich history and cinematic significance.
Midhope Castle
Midhope Castle, famously known as Lallybroch from Outlander, is a must-visit for any fan of the show. We’ll arrange a scenic "walk down" to the castle, giving you the opportunity to take in the beautiful surroundings and other Outlander points of interest nearby. Please note that Midhope Castle is located on a private working estate, and access may occasionally be restricted due to safety concerns or estate activities beyond our control. Additionally, in respect to local residents, the estate has restricted access to the castle between December and April 2025. While we regret any inconvenience, the tour will continue as planned with visits to other fantastic locations. Thank you for your understanding!
We pick up in both Glasgow and Dalmeny Station (a short 15 minute train ride from Edinburgh). The pick up and drop offs are staggered and are nearby the main attractions so not much of a disruption.

The trip was just for us with a bus for 7 people. The tour guide was very nice and told us a lot about the history of Scotland. Since our English skills were not quite as good, the tour guide explained everything calmly and it was no problem to ask if we did not understand anything. A very nice and patient tour guide.

Catriona Stevenson knows more about OUTLANDER locations, characters, and actors than ANYONE. She created this tour and conducted it superbly. What a treat for us.

Great tour! Helmut our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and so nice, we felt like he was a friend. We asked a million questions and he was happy to answer all of them. He went out of his way to pick my son up at another location. I would highly recommend this tour. The sights were amazing. Even if your not a outlander fan, the castles are truly amazing! Please note, I was informed by trip advisor that this tour included entrance into the castles. IT DOES NOT! Therefore it can get very expensive.
