Oxford
Your first stop is Oxford, where you have time to explore the precincts of the many colleges, climb one of the vantage points to take in the skyline, or see the art and antiquities collections in the Ashmolean Museum. The choice is yours. This route may be reversed on some occasions.
Burford
Our next stop is in Burford, the ‘Gateway to the Cotswolds’. It’s a small market town with enormous character and a huge history. The main street is lined with gorgeously quaint cottages and properties. You have time here to take in the local charm and hospitality; and if you’re hungry, you can try a traditional English ‘Afternoon Tea’. This route may be reversed on some occasions.

There is a bit of bus time but our guide Dominic filled it with interesting information. The timing at each stop was about right and Dominic pointed out all the best places for our free time.

We had one day in London to try and spend time in Oxford. This tour seemed closest to what we hoped for. The stops at 2 small villages in the Cotswolds were beautiful. I could have spent days in Oxford but we had 2 hours. There was no guide so it was self guided with a small map. Note: the map only had labels for recommended streets, so if one were to get disoriented, there were no names on other streets. In another bus tour we took later, the same kind of map and self tour was also given. I would recommend supplementing this type of map with others more specific.
