Oxford
Your first stop is Oxford, where you have time to explore the precincts of the many colleges, climb one of the vantage points to take in the skyline, or see the art and antiquities collections in the Ashmolean Museum. The choice is yours. This route may be reversed on some occasions.
Burford
Our next stop is in Burford, the ‘Gateway to the Cotswolds’. It’s a small market town with enormous character and a huge history. The main street is lined with gorgeously quaint cottages and properties. You have time here to take in the local charm and hospitality; and if you’re hungry, you can try a traditional English ‘Afternoon Tea’. This route may be reversed on some occasions.

There is no ‘tour’ of Oxford. You are given a map and told to return in 2 hours. Very disappointing that we couldn’t go into Trinity College because we didn’t have a tour leader. Very disappointing!!!

It wasn’t what I expected. We spent only two hours in Oxford and less than hour in two villages in Cotswolds. The driver, Damian was mainly a driver , no history no so much information about the sites and his driving wasn’t good, I didn’t feel safe. Next time I just will take a bus or a train.

This tour is mostly just transportation. We were on our own after we stopped. Graham did a good job during the trip.

This was a great way to get out of the city and see the more rural parts of England. We absolutely loved the Cotswolds towns we visited. It’s beautiful scenery and Burford in particular has many cute shops and cafes. Bibury has the picturesque homes and a gift shop or two but is just a quick stop along the way. Oxford is a sight to see but I will say it’s quite touristy and crowded so if you really want to see the university and buildings they suggest on the tour, it doesn’t leave much time for lunch and any souvenir shopping. My only wish is we had more time in each town to really take it all in. Our driver was a great narrator and provided some interesting facts. The bus was a little warmer than any of us would have liked but overall totally recommend!!!
