My husband and I did the Paddle Board Mangrove tour and had a blast! Disclaimer: You’ll see in the pics that the water is brown - that’s because Quepos had experienced unusually heavy rainfall that week, but that didn’t stop us from enjoying the wonder of the mangroves (and it was extra motivation to not fall in! Lol) If you really want to experience the mangroves, the Paddle Board tour is where it’s at. We went through some canals (where boats don’t have access to), hung out in the heart of the mangroves and ate fruit, ducked under branches, and saw lots of wildlife: Crabs, snails, lizards, and white face monkeys! DK & Ismael were our guides - they’re awesome! They are very knowledgeable, passionate about the environment, and super fun to hang out with. They took lots of pics for us and were also super patient whenever I was unsteady or slow moving.

Very nice trip with guides Ismael and Corey! Due to the low season it was suddenly a private tour. Corey and Ismael are very passionate about their work, and do their utmost to share as much info as possible. It was my first time on a paddleboard, and they really encouraged me to stand up, and were also genuinely happy when this worked out. Afterwards we got freshly cut pineapple and a bottle of water. They also take pictures for us with their own mobile, ours were very well done. This activity is definitely recommended if you are in the area!

My husband and I used Paddle 9 for two different excursions and we couldn’t be happier with them! We had never been paddle boarding before and were a little nervous about being able to get up on the board. The guides gave us clear way to follow directions and we found our balance. The mangroves are such a beautiful and peaceful place. I’d for sure do this again. A highlight was stopping in the middle of the mangroves for fresh mandarin. A++++

Let us start by saying that Roberto “Rasta” is a fantastic person to tour with. His positive attitude and energy made the experience! We did a private two person paddle tour of the mangroves and it was AWESOME. Rasta’s knowledge of the area’s history as well as everything around us in the mangroves was so interesting and made the time we spent paddling so enjoyable. We brought water, but Rasta had some for us, as well as fruit if we wanted. We came in April and did not encounter bugs during our paddle. Bring your sunscreen and some shoes to get wet. You will appreciate them for launching.

We took an afternoon mangrove tour with Guides Ishmael and Kendall. Our daughter was in a stand up paddle board and my wife and I used the pedal kayaks. It was a great experience! Not too hot as most of the tour was shaded. Easy ride, for all of us with different activity and experience levels. Ishmael was extremely knowledgeable! Bring the bug spray for sure and sit back and enjoy a few hours with friendly, professional locals!

Guides were friendly and knowledgeable. We got great instruction on how to safely stand up for the first time and enjoyed the couple of hours navigating the mangroves.
