  We toured Palazzo Vecchio and Pitti Palace, including the gardens, with Julia. Her wealth of knowledge was extraordinary, she was able to relay facts and “gossip” about every aspect of the Medici dynasty. Wonderful!

  Giulia, our tour guide, was an absolutely priceless find. Her extensive knowledge of art and history, coupled with her engaging personality, gave our group an insider feel for the works and sites we visited on this tour. Giulia was able to customize our tour and pivot, when necessary, to accommodate our viewing of important works when crowds were an issue. I would not hesitate to recommend Giulia for this tour & regret not having such a knowledgeable guide with us at every cultural site in Italy.

  Giulia was fantastic. My wife and I had the pleasure of taking her Vecchio/Pitti/Boboli Gardens tour on the recommendation of a friend and really had a great time. She is incredibly knowledgeable both on the buildings themselves and the various forms of art found within them. She was able to customize her tour based on our preferences, and she made what could have been slightly overwhelming with the sheer number of rooms and works of art much more manageable by focusing on the real highlights for us. Wish we had time to take another one with her!

  My wife and I had an excellent experience with our guide Giuliano, a Florence native. It started even before our arrival when she suggested changing the date due to the likely crowds on the day we first selected. She was exceptionally good at finding the best areas within these large spaces, and very well versed in both the art and the history. Our tour lasted well beyond the scheduled time, and we enjoyed all of it. A very fine tour.

  Short Version Giulia is the reason I hire private guides. Her pre-trip communication was impeccable and helped us plan the entire journey. Once on-site, she provided a highly personal experience, knew all the shortcuts, and navigated unexpected complications with ease. Her best trait is her positive attitude that she exhibits in all situations. Her knowledge of art and history are amazing. Long Version Pre Trip - I interviewed numerous private guides. Giulia came out on top in every category. Our experience reflected this research. Prior to arrival she was very helpful in developing an itinerary. Some people like to simply show up. I am one of those people that wants to plan all the details in advance. She took my proposed itinerary, made positive recommendations and we ended up with a perfect trip. We have a special request for someone in our party and she offered excellent options. Tours - I was impressed with Giulia's breath of knowledge concerning various sites. She knows history, architecture, art, and any other topic you can imagine in the world of Florence Italy. She knew the most efficient routes outside and inside the venues. Given the massive crowds, her navigation skills were put to the test and she performed brilliantly. I could not have imagined navigating the tickets, lines, and sites without an expert like her. Adapting - Our 2 days of tours with her, unfortunately, coincided with 2 days of taxi strikes. This was a huge complication since some of our group has limited mobility. For Giulia this was not an issue. We were able to figure out solutions and she has access to a wide range of service providers. Knowledge - This may have been her strongest attribute. She knew so much about the art and culture of Florence. I felt like we received a master class from a renowned professor. She knew her stuff beyond all expectations. As a lifelong resident of Florence, it is obvious she is one of the most profound experts you could hire as a guide in this city. We did not have the chance to utilize her vast skills and engage her for a visit to Tuscany. From our brief conversations about the region, it's obvious she would be your go-to person for this area as well. Giulia, thank you for an amazing trip!

  Giulia was very knowledgeable about both Palazzos, including the history and art, and she was very patient with me as I negotiated all the stairs. The Boboli Gardens and both palazzos were beautiful. Very much recommend this private tour.
