Teatro Massimo
The opera teathre of Palermo is famous as the location of the most dramatic scene of The Godfather III. Anyway, this monument is also a symbol of the rebirth of the city after decades of Mafia violence.
The longest wall painting in Italy (70 meters long) represents some of the most known mafia victims and is part of an urban renovation project. It is both the chance to become familiar with the victims' faces and to shoot some good pictures!

Everything about this tour is really fascinating. I really enjoyed learning more about the mafia… and not just having it glorified by TV and movies.

It was extremely informative. I now understand a lot more about both the history, as well as the current situation of the Mafia in Italy, and in particular here in Palermo. I am so glad that I went on this tour.

If you only do one tour in this city ….book this one !Our guide Marinella was excellent ! She was so informative & had a wealth of knowledge, having been born and brought up in Palermo. She was very passionate in her delivery , which seemed to hold everyone’s attention. Thoroughly recommend this tour….just book it…you won’t be disappointed !!

It's about the anti- mafia movement, it doesn't focus on what the mafia did but how the city, the government, and the church dismantled the mafia's grip.

It’s not a historical walking tour. It was a little interesting but a lot of repetition. It has a message but may have been Incorporated better with a little more history.

This tour was incredibly informative, entertaining and gave the best unfiltered insight into the history of the Mafia from the point of view of the population. The guide himself, as co-initiator of the courageous “No Mafia” initiative, has played a key role in helping the tide change for the better for 20 years. The 3-hour tour flew by, especially since his narrative style could be humorous in addition to the seriousness of the subject. Clear recommendation!!!

Extremely informative tour with a very friendly and attentive guide. To book in advance because very popular. I went there at the last minute and had to book it in English (I am French) only place still available but our guide was kind enough to translate the information I had not entered. Thanks to him. It makes us wander through many places of the city, including the Capo market, the cathedral, the Quattro Canti, to have a lot of explanations about Palermo life, how it works, the history of the mafia and the fight against it, its various implications. it was exciting.A 3 hour tour very rich in culture and information. Excellent Price quality ratio. I recommend it to you.

Sylvia was so passionate and highly knowledgeable in the anti-mafia history. We felt so lucky to have her as our guide. This tour set the stage for our trip with having a great baseline of knowledge that we really had no idea about prior to the tour. Thank you, Sylvia for a great experience.!
