On a hot summer's day, one of the best things to do in Palm Springs is to take a ride from the dry desert floor with the Aerial Tramway, 5,873 feet up into the cool climate of the San Jacinto Mountains. Come and ascend into a pristine wilderness aboard the world's largest rotating tramcars! Truly one of the greatest experiences in Southern California!

Please present voucher to the ticket office. Tickets will be timed for the next available tram car as a first come first serve basis.
The Tramway is subject to delays and periodic shutdowns due to unforeseen circumstances and is not responsible for ticket refunds or the inability to redeem a voucher
Tramway cars hold 80 people each and there are no seats. Passengers remain standing throughout the journey up the mountain
Distance is approximately 12,800 feet, with a vertical ascent of 5,873 feet - 15 minutes travel time one way
The tramway is known as a double reversible type of aerial tramway. Each car remains on one pair of track cables moving up and down without turning around. Each car serves as a counter balance to the other, the descending car is helping pull the ascending car up the mountain
Strollers are permitted on this tour
During holiday periods, you may experience long lines. We recommend you travel outside of these peak times to fully enjoy everything the tramway and mountain have to offer.

Visit on a weekday when crowds are small to nab close-in parking and no waiting to board the next car up! Don't forget to check the weather forecast for the top of the mountain, and bring a sweater, jacket, etc., as appropriate. You haven't "done" Palm Springs until you take the Aerial Tram. :)

Magnificient view of the valley and mountains. You could still see patches of snow. Area kept clean.

Great to get guaranteed or last minute tickets. There are some hikes available at the top ranging from very easy to advanced. Beautiful views.

When I purchased my ticket for April 16, there was nothing in the email about there being timed tickets. When I arrived at the tram, I was told that this ticket was going to be exchanged for the official ticket, the same as I would’ve gotten if I had been a walk-in. This ticket was timed for almost 2 hours after our arrival. When I told the ticket seller that I couldn’t wait for two hours, he said that if I had purchased the ticket directly from the Palm Springs aerial tram, I could negotiate the time, but since Viator was a third-party seller, there was nothing they could do. I feel this was a scam. Viator should clearly state that this ticket has to be exchanged for another ticket and there may be a wait of two hours or more from the time you arrive.

Everyone was friendly funny! Seeing the mountains up close was the absolute best. Being up that high really made me think about life, nature, the planet and where I fit in all of it
