On a hot summer's day, one of the best things to do in Palm Springs is to take a ride from the dry desert floor with the Aerial Tramway, 5,873 feet up into the cool climate of the San Jacinto Mountains. Come and ascend into a pristine wilderness aboard the world's largest rotating tramcars! Truly one of the greatest experiences in Southern California!

Please present voucher to the ticket office. Tickets will be timed for the next available tram car as a first come first serve basis.
The Tramway is subject to delays and periodic shutdowns due to unforeseen circumstances and is not responsible for ticket refunds or the inability to redeem a voucher
Tramway cars hold 80 people each and there are no seats. Passengers remain standing throughout the journey up the mountain
Distance is approximately 12,800 feet, with a vertical ascent of 5,873 feet - 15 minutes travel time one way
The tramway is known as a double reversible type of aerial tramway. Each car remains on one pair of track cables moving up and down without turning around. Each car serves as a counter balance to the other, the descending car is helping pull the ascending car up the mountain
Strollers are permitted on this tour
During holiday periods, you may experience long lines. We recommend you travel outside of these peak times to fully enjoy everything the tramway and mountain have to offer.
There is parking in 13 paved lots near Valley Station. There is free shuttle service from parking lots to Valley Station entrance available weekends and holiday periods

At the top, you’ll find a cozy restaurant serving delicious food, along with endless opportunities to explore. Visitors can hike through the peaceful alpine forest, take in sweeping views of the valley, or visit the museum and watch a short film in the theater that highlights the history and beauty of the park. An unforgettable experience from start to finish. Staff was professional and had a great sense of humor as well.

5.00This was so much fun! We spent 3 or 4 hours here today. Breathtaking scenery on the tram ride and all around the park at the top. Nice walk down to the half frozen creek, good food at the cafe at the top. Everybody should do this while in Palm Springs area!

4.00The ride was nice, but it was cold and windy. Trails were icy and snowy, yet there were still long waits to go up and come down. Can't imagine how long it would be in nice weather. Plan for the delays.

5.00You can purchase your tickets on site and can get senior discounts there online does not offer it. The site is amazing beautiful views there trails are amazing everyone was friendly good vibes.
Its a good trip for family Fun for hiking be prepared for the way up from hiking drink some water the restaurant awsome

4.00I went on a foggy, cloudy January day and it was still pretty good. View was okay at the top but low clouds blocked the view oi the valley floor below. Would have been better on a clear sunny day, but that's Mother Nature.
Don’t buy vouchers online. If you really want to go, show up and see what the wait time is.

1.00Zero honest communication. Bought “vouchers” online then had to wait in huge line to get “tickets”. 90 min wait time. No potential wait times advertised online - nothing indicating that if you buy vouchers you will still need to wait in huge lines for tickets and boarding. Not enough seating for all of the people waiting. No signs or communication of the process just standing in lines hoping it’s the right one. If we would have known there was ZERO advantage of buying ahead of time online we could have changed our minds at the parking area. Just another scam to take advantage of tourists.
