On a hot summer's day, one of the best things to do in Palm Springs is to take a ride from the dry desert floor with the Aerial Tramway, 5,873 feet up into the cool climate of the San Jacinto Mountains. Come and ascend into a pristine wilderness aboard the world's largest rotating tramcars! Truly one of the greatest experiences in Southern California!

Please present voucher to the ticket office. Tickets will be timed for the next available tram car as a first come first serve basis.
The Tramway is subject to delays and periodic shutdowns due to unforeseen circumstances and is not responsible for ticket refunds or the inability to redeem a voucher
Tramway cars hold 80 people each and there are no seats. Passengers remain standing throughout the journey up the mountain
Distance is approximately 12,800 feet, with a vertical ascent of 5,873 feet - 15 minutes travel time one way
The tramway is known as a double reversible type of aerial tramway. Each car remains on one pair of track cables moving up and down without turning around. Each car serves as a counter balance to the other, the descending car is helping pull the ascending car up the mountain
Strollers are permitted on this tour
During holiday periods, you may experience long lines. We recommend you travel outside of these peak times to fully enjoy everything the tramway and mountain have to offer.
There is parking in 13 paved lots near Valley Station. There is free shuttle service from parking lots to Valley Station entrance available weekends and holiday periods

2.00The rotating tram floor was just awful. If you have nausea or motion sickness move to the center where there are 2 seats. I didn’t realize there were moving floors .. it was like gravitron in reverse ! The floor is moving and I was going down! I guess I was up for nausea rides as a kid but not so much these days! The ride back down in the disabled seating was so much better. I should’ve read reviews !

5.00If you’re looking for a day hike adventure then this place is for you. Start early because it will get packed of people from the base to the summit top. Make sure you wear hiking shoes if you want to go for a mediocre leisure hike adventure. Views from the rotating lift is remarkable but hold on tight, photo ops a must! Great foods and restaurants at the top to start your day before your hike or after. Souvenir shops and wildlife awareness very educational. Ranger station can be very helpful info if you’re deciding which hiking trail to take for a day. I highly recommend this place at San Jacinto mountains. Don’t forget to bring your water, SPF lotion and sunglasses to rehydrate and definitely Enjoy it while you’re up there! Best Rock formations at this mountain range!

5.00Memorable experience. If you are with an elderly person, you might want to drop them off at the entrance to the main building. It's a long walk up the hill.

5.00Really fun experience. The Tram ride and scenery is stunning. We had dinner at Peaks restaurant at sunset with a Wonderful view of the mountain. The serve and food were great.
