On a hot summer's day, one of the best things to do in Palm Springs is to take a ride from the dry desert floor with the Aerial Tramway, 5,873 feet up into the cool climate of the San Jacinto Mountains. Come and ascend into a pristine wilderness aboard the world's largest rotating tramcars! Truly one of the greatest experiences in Southern California!

Please present voucher to the ticket office. Tickets will be timed for the next available tram car as a first come first serve basis.
The Tramway is subject to delays and periodic shutdowns due to unforeseen circumstances and is not responsible for ticket refunds or the inability to redeem a voucher
Tramway cars hold 80 people each and there are no seats. Passengers remain standing throughout the journey up the mountain
Distance is approximately 12,800 feet, with a vertical ascent of 5,873 feet - 15 minutes travel time one way
The tramway is known as a double reversible type of aerial tramway. Each car remains on one pair of track cables moving up and down without turning around. Each car serves as a counter balance to the other, the descending car is helping pull the ascending car up the mountain
Strollers are permitted on this tour
During holiday periods, you may experience long lines. We recommend you travel outside of these peak times to fully enjoy everything the tramway and mountain have to offer.
There is parking in 13 paved lots near Valley Station. There is free shuttle service from parking lots to Valley Station entrance available weekends and holiday periods

5.00The views from the top are amazing. Go up an hour or two before sunset for the best views across the valley. Peaks Restaurant was, to our surprise, excellent and no more expensive the restaurants in the valley. Buy tickets beforehand and due to congestion and parking which all take time plan on being there at least 20 minutes before your departure time. Bring a parka, as temperatures at the top are around 30-40 degrees cooler than the valley. Be sure to take all the various walkways, all of which have different views.

5.00It’s very good. Fun to do with friends to just see the sights. We enjoyed it on a girls trip just to see the sights. Not to do a big hike. Every fun!

4.00Prepare to wait for your boarding time — ours took about two hours. There’s also a $15 parking fee to keep in mind. A shuttle runs from the parking lot to the tram station, which makes the process easier. Bring your own snacks and drinks, especially if you want healthier options, because choices on-site are limited. The tram ride gets crowded. Views are fantastic.

5.00Saved $8 per person in the ticket but put on a waiting list for the actual ride. The clerk explained that there are days that this ticket would not have worked if there were too many passengers onboard because third-party tickets board last or if there are vacancy and good only for the day tickets were bought. We were just lucky that we only waited an hour—the ones that bought theirs at Aerial Tramway got priority boarding.

5.00Tram ride was very nice. Great views. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Nature trail was a fairly tough 3/4 mile walk, but made me feel good to complete it. At 86, I seldom walk up and down such a hill.
