On a hot summer's day, one of the best things to do in Palm Springs is to take a ride from the dry desert floor with the Aerial Tramway, 5,873 feet up into the cool climate of the San Jacinto Mountains. Come and ascend into a pristine wilderness aboard the world's largest rotating tramcars! Truly one of the greatest experiences in Southern California!

Please present voucher to the ticket office. Tickets will be timed for the next available tram car as a first come first serve basis.
The Tramway is subject to delays and periodic shutdowns due to unforeseen circumstances and is not responsible for ticket refunds or the inability to redeem a voucher
Tramway cars hold 80 people each and there are no seats. Passengers remain standing throughout the journey up the mountain
Distance is approximately 12,800 feet, with a vertical ascent of 5,873 feet - 15 minutes travel time one way
The tramway is known as a double reversible type of aerial tramway. Each car remains on one pair of track cables moving up and down without turning around. Each car serves as a counter balance to the other, the descending car is helping pull the ascending car up the mountain
Strollers are permitted on this tour
During holiday periods, you may experience long lines. We recommend you travel outside of these peak times to fully enjoy everything the tramway and mountain have to offer.
There is parking in 13 paved lots near Valley Station. There is free shuttle service from parking lots to Valley Station entrance available weekends and holiday periods

5.00Do not buy a voucher from this company. It is not a ticket. Buy from the Palm Springs Tram website so you have a timed ticket. The internet is not efficient and will not pull up your voucher. Save your self the time and frustration. The tram experience was amazing but this website is not the best place to buy a ticket.
TAKE THIS TRAM RIDE! It’s a world record ride.

5.00This is an amazing ride and adventure. If all you did was ride up - enjoy the fresh air and a few views - and returned, it would be worth it. If you are physically able, plan to hike a bit and see even more. We used our aviator tickets to checkin and get assigned a ride up the mountain. It was a busy day, and we had about an hour+ wait. The tram send a a new car every twelve minutes, and guessing, it holds 40+ people. If you plan to hike a bit - wear sensible shoes. Even walking to the valley area out of the mountaintop building is a roughly 1/4 mile steep concrete path. Enjoy. The views and the air is amazing!

2.00DO NOT book through Viator book directly through the Tram website. We did not get a time and had to wait on a long line just to get a time and then waited 1 .5 hours for our slot. If you book thru the site you can pick a time and avoid the extra long wait time!!!!!!!
Don’t go on the weekend, and pack a lunch if you have a family.

4.00The customer service was hit or miss. Food prices were higher than expected. Went there on a weekend, the tram was SO crowded, packed like sardines on the way up without a view ruined the initial experience.

5.00Great day trip to beat the heat! We brought a backpack carrier for our toddler and did some hiking/trail walks at the top of the mountain. Strollers are allowed but not super stroller friendly. Food is pricey - bring snacks! Book your tickets in advance bc there is not much for kids to do while waiting. We had a 2 hr wait with walk in tickets and ran around the mountain park and ate snacks.

5.00This ticket confirms that you will be able to ride the tram for a particular day, but it does not guarantee you a ride at a particular time. On a busy day, you may have to wait for about 90 minutes before there is room for you. However, there are videos, displays and a gift shop beyond the boarding area, while you wait.

4.00A great experience , beautiful walks and amazing views. However, there are quite a few hills so not for the unfit. Please note though that even if you pre-purchase tickets you do NOT jump the queue as indicated. You only receive a voucher and still have to queue to get tickets. It takes approximately an hour from arriving before you can take the tramway up as there are only 3 an hour. Suggest arriving at 9am when the ticket office opens in order to get up to the top early. First tramway is 10am - winter times.
