On a hot summer's day, one of the best things to do in Palm Springs is to take a ride from the dry desert floor with the Aerial Tramway, 5,873 feet up into the cool climate of the San Jacinto Mountains. Come and ascend into a pristine wilderness aboard the world's largest rotating tramcars! Truly one of the greatest experiences in Southern California!

Please present voucher to the ticket office. Tickets will be timed for the next available tram car as a first come first serve basis.

The Tramway is subject to delays and periodic shutdowns due to unforeseen circumstances and is not responsible for ticket refunds or the inability to redeem a voucher

Tramway cars hold 80 people each and there are no seats. Passengers remain standing throughout the journey up the mountain

Distance is approximately 12,800 feet, with a vertical ascent of 5,873 feet - 15 minutes travel time one way

The tramway is known as a double reversible type of aerial tramway. Each car remains on one pair of track cables moving up and down without turning around. Each car serves as a counter balance to the other, the descending car is helping pull the ascending car up the mountain

Strollers are permitted on this tour

During holiday periods, you may experience long lines. We recommend you travel outside of these peak times to fully enjoy everything the tramway and mountain have to offer.

There is parking in 13 paved lots near Valley Station. There is free shuttle service from parking lots to Valley Station entrance available weekends and holiday periods

The tram itself was really neat and the views were spectacular. The food at the top was not really available for breakfast at all. This was disappointing.

The view from the top of San Jacinto is breathtaking. We stayed until after dark to view the lights of the valley below! Recommended!

It's COLD! Plan time for a hike to really appreciate that it's a park. Watch the videos available to learn what it's about. Lunch at Peak was a unique experience.

Wonderful adventure with family. Welcoming and friendly staff. TripAdvisor made it so easy to have this experience. Highly recommend to go and literally see all of Palm Springs and then some. If going in Jan dress for the cooler temps you’ll experience at the top of the mountain.

Absolutely wonderful. Our guide Timothy allowed us to go at our own pace, pointing out lots of interesting sights. The meditation was phenomenal and the scenery was great! Highly recommend.

Awesome … We haven’t been up in years, but now they have a new lift, remodeled all the restaurants, snacks, café. Nothing to want. Although my husband wanted to get a marker in the downstairs gift shop was not open and they didn’t have any upstairs, sad.
Was a regular customer. Won’t use Viator again.

One of the members of our group became extremely ill and we asked Viator to honour the ticket for the next day. They said we needed 24 hours notice no exceptions.
