My wife and I wanted to try some of the local cuisine in French Polynesia… we had Kalei as a tour guide… he took us to many places we wouldn’t have visited if it wasn’t for him… great experience!!!

Great way to spend the morning seeing part of downtown, most notably the market, and trying foods you might otherwise miss out on. Easy walking with frequent stops. Lots of good eats and drinks along the way. Our guide, Jennifer, was lovely and spoke very good English in addition to French. She showed us several of her favorite vendors for pearls and "treasures" from the region. Tour ended with a rum tasting with fresh fruits at a local liquor and wine store. highly recommended!

We were fortunate enough to have Kalei as our tour guide. We have been on some wonderful food tours during our travels, but Kalei made this exceptional. All the food choices were delicious, plentiful, and unique! His outgoing personality and wanting to make it special for us contributed to such a fabulous experience. He even gave us some delicious coconut bread to take back to our hotel. Be sure to arrive hungry, as you will be fed well! He also took us around the market in Papeete and talked about the local culture. Do not hesitate to book this tour!!

Kalei was a wonderful guide. The day was well planned there was a lot of walking, but plenty of opportunities to stop and rest (and eat!) Kalei was very accommodating and geared the tour toward our needs. We was clearly well liked and respected in his community. Very helpful, going above and beyond to assist with translating and purchases. The food was wonderful and there was A LOT of it. Go when you’re hungry!

Absolutely Fabulous! Kalei and Jennifer were fantastic food guides. We started with a Tahitian breakfast (very different from US) of Tuna in Coconut Milk with mixed carrots and cucumber. That also came with a traditional Tahitian pastry. Next, we were taken for a wonderful tour of the Market and tried numerous different items. We then went to Vini Vini which is a Tuna / Poke fast food (All made while you wait). We were provided the best Tempura Tuna Steak I have ever had. Then on to a local liquor tasting and finished up with a local Gelato. I had the Tahitian Vanilla which was outstanding. I highly recommend this tour. So much food that wr skipped dinner.
