I offer you a delicious culinary escapade in the image and taste of my love for Papeete, the city where I was born. An immersion in my life in Tahiti, the island where I was born and flourished as a Polynesian and citizen of the world. We will start with a typical breakfast, seated around our famous raw fish in coconut milk. Then, it is to the rhythm of all our tastings (minimum 10) that I will guide you through the city, its history and its flavors. I will show you the addresses that mark my daily life: from the famous Papeete market to the little hidden gems that are close to my heart. Throughout this morning together, we will explore and celebrate the vibrant culinary culture of Papeete, the flavors, stories and characters behind everything we will taste together. Food Tour accompanied by Noa who made us discover the specialties of her island. Lots of tastings, clear explanations, a very pleasant and attentive guide. Thank you for this experience.

What a wonderful experience. We started the day with a traditional breakfast in a local restaurant then headed to a local snack shop for a special banana crepes. We visited some local shops and the market, experienced a variety of foods and shops. We were educated on the food as well as the culture with Orama and Noah sharing personal experiences. This tour is not to be missed. Come hungry!

If you have time, take this food tour! Noah was warm, friendly, knowledgeable and just super fun! Every food stop was amazing and honestly, we would not have visited these spots on our own. Many of the spots were mom and pop shops with the most wonderful flavors. We have been on a few food tours and this is our favorite! We started with fish roe, a favorite local food and now our favorite. We had fresh baked goods that melted in our mouths and great coffee with coconut milk. Banana crepes, a fish fritter, a fish burger with a corn flake wrap that gave an amazing crunch and pastries filled with sweet coconut and banana cream . Fresh mango from the market and many other treats. Also, our beautiful guide shared many facts about the sights we saw…we were completely blown away. The food was so good and Noah was such a delightful guide. I’d like to go back and do it again! ❤️

Orama was great - knowledgeable and super helpful both in terms of answering all of our many questions as well as guiding us on other things to see and do. Mauruuru Orama ;-)

This was brilliant and a must do if you visit Papeete. There's no better way to learn about a culture than through food. The tour was broken up into different sections with plenty of variety to taste, my wife and I were full afterwards. This was a highlight of our day.

This tour was great....we tried to get on a Wednesday and it was full, so opted for Thursday and it turned out that we were the only ones on the tour which was lovely. We found out later that people from our cruise ship were in the Wednesday spot...they had a great time also! Lots of food, great stories, love the wonderful guy at Snack Lucky (might not be the right name), love the Chinese Plum Powder and fresh fish breakfast treat. Everything was so nice! Would definitely recommend you take part in this as a way to acclimate yourself to Tahiti and the Society Islands

Orama is the absolute best guide for a food tour of Papeete. She brought us to 5 different locations including the market and introduced us to many new dishes. I was surprised about the heavy influence of Chinese cuisine in the food here. She is a wealth of information about Tahitian food and culture. She was also able to give us a recommendation for a great "local" dinner spot that was also spectacular. We have done many food tours and this was a great combination of great local food (enough but not too much), small group size, and a very knowledgeable guide.

Orana led a great tour of casual cafes, snack shops, restaurants and the Central Market. We also stopped in a wine shop for a little tasting of Polynesian flavored rums. We got an excellent overview of what the locals eat. Orana is also very happy to share local history and customs, so it’s more than just a food tour. We highly recommend this tour.

Orama is a delightful tour guide and did a wonderful job of highlighting the Polynesian, French, and Chinese origins of modern Tahitian cuisine. A lovely experience that gave me a great appreciation for the local food scene.
