There is approximately 1 mile of walking. Also, there are approximately 130 steps down and 85 steps back up to street level. This tour is not recommended for people who have mobility issues or anxiety in closed spaces. Please note that the temperatures in the Catacombs are 14 degrees centigrade.

1.00Double check the date you book! I had thought I was booking for June but the calendar had automatically set for August. I immediately reached out for a refund but was denied. I understand the no-refund policy but this felt a little egregious.

3.00Lots of bones! Our human guide couldn’t make the tour and a replacement couldn’t be found, so the tour company promptly gave us a refund for the cost of the guide. Great work by them but not having the human guide was a bit of a letdown. We had to use the electronic audio guide and they were a little temperamental and not as informative. The catacombs themselves are really interesting. I’m glad we took this tour.
