This was an AMAZING experience!!! We are so lucky and grateful to have gotten Miquel as our guide! We had a group of 8 including 2 kids ages 7 and 11, Miquel easily took us to incredible sights! Pick up and drop off was a breeze, exactly on time and excellent communication! He gave us great advice and recommendations through the entire experience! He is a great driver, we felt comfortable and safe the entire time, my family thinks I am a super hero for booking this tour! It was all Miquel! He was funny, flexible, knowledgeable and kept the kids engaged (not easy to do with my kids) If you want to get the most out of your time in Barcelona I highly recommend this tour and asking for Miquel!

Matt was an excellent guide. From the moment he picked us up from the hotel we knew it was going to be a great tour. He was very communicative leading up to the tour. We had kids as young as 4 and elderly as old as 82 in our group and everyone had a wonderful experience. We got all of the great highlights of Barcelona.

This was an OK experience, but I wouldn’t have booked this tour if I understood what was included. I booked this tour to focus on Sagrada Gamilia and Park Guell with a private tour. However, our tour guide was not allowed to join in either location. There was a private walking tour of the city and we received a private tour while driving alone in the car with our tour guide, but the name of the tour was Private tour of Parc Guell and Sagrada Família which it was not. The guide was very accommodating, but I feel this was a bait and switch. Based on what was provided, I thought there was not value for the price.

We were waiting in our hotel lobby in Barcelona near La Pedrera with two other couples that had similar private guided tours. Our tour was focused on, and the title of the tour was “Park Guell and Sagrada Familia Private Tour with hotel pick-up”. The other guides arrived on time, and both couples were driven away in black Mercedes sedans. Imagine our surprise when our guide arrived late, with her driver, in a red Nissan, or Hundai mini hatchback. Montse our guide told us that that was the only vehicle available. We proceeded on our tour through town with descriptions of various parts of the city, stopping twice on Montjuic for photo ops of the city view. When we finally arrived at Park Guell a couple of hours later, we were told we had 25 minutes and would be able to see everything in that amount of time. Montse told us that she was unable to come inside the park due to some restrictions on tour guides, and she would be waiting by the exit when we were through, that was not quite the “private guided tour” that we were expecting. We quickly noticed that there were many tours and guides of various sizes throughout the park. When I asked her about that, she told me more stories about the restrictions, which made no sense. We were in the park for a total of 25 minutes and it took 20 minutes for the vehicle to circle around the area many, many times to find a place to pick us up. Montse asked us if we wanted to have lunch or just pick up something and go. We opted for a café lunch and she made a reservation for us at a restaurant, she allowed us an hour and a half for lunch, way too much time. We finished, and paid for our $90 euro lunch…then proceeded to the Sagrada Familia. We were dropped off a couple of blocks away and proceeded to get our tickets for the Basilica. Again, we were told about tour guide restrictions there as well, again there were numerous tours, and again she did not accompany us on our “private guided tour”. She told us we could see everything in 25 minutes, and she would tell us the story about it when we came out. At 25 minutes in to our walking about inside the Basilica I received a text from her that she was waiting at the exit for us. When we met her at the exit, I told her I had enough of the touring experience for the day, and were ready to return to our hotel. I will mention that I had a knee injury from a fall on a shore excursion on our cruise. It was swollen but it wasn’t painful and I just needed to limit my climbing of a lot of stairs, and it didn’t interfere with any of our subsequent shore excursions from our ship. Entering and exiting the vehicle, and overall fit was uncomfortable due to the rear seat of a small car as I am 6’2”. Also, she kept emphasizing my knee injury at every opportunity until I finally asked her to stop. She might want to keep her personal issues, and family problems to herself on a sightseeing tour with strangers, as that was an extremely uncomfortable situation. We paid over $670 for this tour that did not come close to meeting our expectations for a, “Park Guell and Sagrada Familia Private Tour with hotel pick-up”, and would be hesitant to try it again.
