Our guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. Would definitely recommend visiting the park in a group as we got to ask plenty of questions as well as learn from others asking theirs. Definitely a family friendly experience which our teenagers enjoyed. The tour was rather an interactive stroll through the park with plenty of opportunity to take pictures. Also, once done, were not rushed to leave right afterwards but remain in the park for as long as we liked. This was great as the terrace was overcrowded during the talk. We met our guide at the entrance on the side of the school.

Very informative guide. While there is a lot of walking, he kept the group together and made sure none of us got lost. Lots of info that one would not have gotten without his ability to substantively answer questions

Tour operator was easy to find and pleasant. Ear pieces helped us hear her clearly and she spoke slowly and clearly. The entrance is 2/3 of the way up the hill on which the park is situated and the tour takes you along and then down many steps to see all the main sights and finishes at the bottom of the grand staircase. The steps were a bit much for my 87 year old mother and we wanted to stay up high to see the view and have our picnic, so we left the tour before descending to the Hypocaust and did the end section later on our own. The staircase was disappointing in so far as it was rammed with people in a continuous mass. (October half term)

The park is really beautiful! Plan to stay longer than the tour to see more and absorb the ambience! Our guide Steve was excellent 😉
