Great tour with lots of information. Guide took us through the streets and passages we would have never found on our own. He also adjusted the level of detail based on what we found interesting, and the duration depended entirely on how much we wanted to see and learn.

The guide (Santosh) was very friendly and could tell us super much about Patan. We walked through narrow, non-touristy alleys while he told all these interesting facts. Definitely recommended!

We booked a walking tour to Patan and were lucky to have Bajey as our guide. He knows the city like the back of his hand! The highlight of Patan wasn’t just the monuments, but the narrow alleys he led us through—hidden gems we would’ve never found on our own. That moment sealed the deal—we knew we wanted him as our guide for the rest of our Nepal trip. Finding a good guide had been a challenge for us. The last three guides we hired were dull and uninspiring. But Bajey was the complete opposite—full of energy, charm, and always ready with short and sweet briefings about each place. We bombarded him with questions since Nepal was our first destination in Asia, and everything was new to us. He answered every query with patience and clarity. When we told him about our time constraints and interests, he immediately crafted an itinerary that worked perfectly. He helped us book hotels and arranged a private vehicle so we could make the most of our time. We spent 3 days in Kathmandu exploring UNESCO heritage sites, then 2 nights and 3 days in the lowland Terai at Chitwan. In Chitwan, he knew the best times for everything—thanks to that, we had a private canoe and jeep for our safaris. It honestly felt like all the animals—rhinos, elephants, deer, crocodiles, turtles, and birds—came out to greet us! Then we headed to Pokhara, where we spent another 3 days. He took us to explore waterfalls, caves, and lakes. The best part? Staying at Fishtail Lodge, with its peaceful surroundings and incredible views of the Himalayas from Deurali. The sunrise and sunset over the mountains from Pokhara were simply unforgettable. It turns out, we were benefiting from his background in tourism and culture—he holds a degree in the field and is licensed in three categories: heritage, forest, and mountain! Thank you, Bajey, for everything. We’ll definitely be back for some Himalayan adventures with you!

It was the first time I used the services of a guide while traveling and Santos set a high bar! Not only is he passionate and knowledgeable about Nepal, he really tailored the trip to our interests. Santos was charming company throughout the trip, both to us and everyone we encountered. Highlights for us were some of the not-so-obvious-to-foreign-tourists type aspects - the public passageways through the buildings in Patan, the paper making building with the real Mona Lisa peacock window carving in Bhaktapur, navigating all the inner courtyards in both Durbar Squares, the morning canoe ride/nature walk in Chitwan, the Fishtail Lodge in Pokhara, and the Himalayan sunrise. The stories Santos told throughout the entire trip brought Nepal to life for us. He was very flexible and adjusted our Itinerary when my son was feeling under the weather.

The guides are very patient and attentive, and have a good knowledge of the history and culture of Nepal, from the origin of the ancient stories of Nepal to the folk culture. The questions I asked were answered patiently along the way, and we talked about everyday topics during our coffee break together. Like friends, he felt his sincerity, love for life and sense of responsibility from the conversation. You can also learn about the simplicity and simplicity of the Nepalese people in them. So why not a contrast to our Chinese notion. Those who like Nepali history and culture, folk customs, do not miss him, highly recommended.

On Baje’s guided city tour we were able to get to know Kathmandu from another side. The tour began near Durban Square, from where Baje took us from monuments through temples and markets we would never have found or noticed on our own, masterfully introducing us to both the history and religious customs of Buddism, Hinduism and Islam in Kathmandu. After a coffee break we entered Durban Square itself, met the Nepalese goddess Kumari herself and spent the last hour of the tour in the numerous museums - which were almost brought alive by the extensive knowledge of our guide. All in all, I can only recommend Baje as a city guide. He speaks fluent English and his degree in Nepalese history, as well as the well-designed routes of his tours show Kathmandu in a new light.

Excellent experience. Super knowledgeable guide, took us places we never would have found on our own, and customized the experience for our personal interests unprompted. Can't recommend highly enough.

Santosh was an excellent guide. Knowledgeable in both Hinduism and Buddhism. Telling me a lot of details about the life and culture in the small alleys of Patan. I definitely recommend this tour, and loved to see this old part of the city.
