Peak Tram
Ride the Peak Tram to the iconic Peak (Round trip tickets included) Top 10 must do experience voted by visitors! The first Peak Tram commenced service on 30 May 1888 (first cable funicular of Asia) and has undergone various phases of modernization from coal-fired steam boilers in its earliest days to today’s super-efficient electronic control system. The 6th generation Peak Tram has been painted in a bespoke “Peak Tram Green”, in a nod to its heritage and earlier 3rd and 4th generation tramcars, which were in service from 1948-1959 and 1959-1989 respectively. Getting to the Peak by the Peak Tram is an unforgettable experience. One of the world's oldest and most famous funicular railways, the tram rises to 396 meters (about 1,300 feet) above sea level. It is so steep that the buildings you pass look like they are leaning a gradient of between 4 and 25.7 degrees!
Victoria Peak (The Peak)
Take a guided walking tour to learn about the history of the peak and visit the Lion's Point View Pavilion. Victoria Peak, known simply as The Peak, is a must-see Hong Kong destination — both day and night — offering iconic views of skyscraper-flanked Victoria Harbor, Kowloon peninsula and craggy mountain peaks. Lion’s Point view Pavilion - A Chinese-style pavilion near the Peak Tram terminus on Victoria Peak offers a panoramic view of Victoria Harbor. Firstly the guide and the bus were late. We then discovered that we were to make 4 further pickups before the tour started. This surprised us as when we booked with Viator there were only 2 pickup options available, the nearest being a 30 minute walk from our hotel. We were sat on the coach for over an hour making the remaining 4 pickups, it was therefore almost 90 minutes before we got to the first stop on the itinerary. The guide Simon had a very agitated manner and his English wasn’t very good, we struggled to understand him. We asked him to increase the volume on his microphone but his voice still wasn’t clear. He seemed very stressed throughout the tour which didn’t make for a relaxing atmosphere, maybe there were too many people on the tour for him to manage, around 30 people. We seemed to spend most of the day on the bus and he didn’t provide us with much relevant information about the sites that we visited, his mobile phone rang numerous times. The final straw was on the way to the cruise, Simon advised us that we were to return to the Holiday Inn to pick up 2 further guests who only wanted to join us for the cruise and the dim sum dinner. We drove slowly through the busy traffic where he then left us on the bus for 20 minutes whilst he tried to locate them inside the hotel. In the end he came back to the bus and said “it’s a no show” so we had wasted time once again. At this point we decided to leave the tour as the prospect of sitting on the bus to the ferry terminal was not very appealing. Unfortunately this was the worst Viator excursion that we have been on.

Our guide was very nice and he did the best he can, but unfortunately, it was really hard to understand his English. Also, stop at the jewelry manufacturer felt out of agreed itinerary.

We had a great time and our guide (sorry forgot his name) was very knowledgeable about the history of the temples, buildings and areas we visited. The Dim Sum at the 1 star Michelin restaurant was fantastic and the Victoria Bay cruise was great. Definitely an outstanding tour. Just one warning...you take the Peak Tram up to Victoria Peak, but you take the bus down, so get all your tram pictures on the way up to Victoria Peak.

This was ok. Alot of walking they need to let people know how fit you need to be. A little much in sales pitch at certain stores etc
