(approximate) to explore the Lunenburg at your leisure and have lunch at one of the town's seafood restaurants.

This was our second tour with Anchor, and we thoroughly enjoyed it again. Justine was a wonderful guide/driver, and our time spent at Lunenburg and Peggy‘s Cove was delightful.

It was a fun day out. Our driver and guide was knowledgeable and helped make our day. Being in a small group is nice and it's easier to get to talk to people. Both Peggy's Cove and Lunenburg were interesting and colourful and worth visiting. Very long journey though!!

We chose this tour because of the duration and the minimal stops. Our tour guide took unnecessary detours for “photo ops” that we didn’t want, leaving us with a grand total of 25 mins in Peggy’s Cove. In a 8 tour, it was so disappointing. We left thinking we’d be back by 3, ended up being back later than 5 and having spent most of the on the road or doing things we didn’t want to do. The guide was nice enough but he also insisted on talking the whole 8 hours. The driver also made inappropriate comments about politics, women, and generally was pretty unsafe on the road. I feel like I’m going to have to rent a car or do another tour to actually spend time where I paid to go this time. Disappointing.

We had the pleasure of having Carly as our tour operator and she was fantastic!! We had a group of 6 so we had our own van and it was quite comfortable. Since a private tour we asked her to show us the things she would show her family and she didn’t disappoint.. We saw Peggy’s Cove, the gardens, the titanic cemetery and probably more I can’t think it. What made it special is she had commentary along the way and made the drive interesting. Would highly recommend.

This was a wonderful, worthwhile day trip from Halifax. We left the city before 9 and were back by 5pm or so. The tour guide Robert was informative, helpful and took us to the best photo spots and made a wonderful recommendation for a lobster place away- out of the tourist spots. The van was clean and comfortable and Robert drove us safely. We had a decent amount of time in each location. Peggy’s cove was really lovely.

Lunenberg was very interesting and worth the trip. Peggy's Cove, however beautiful the lighthouse is, was very crowded and flooded with tour buses. Our tour guide was mediocre and devolved into a one-on-one political discussion with one of the tour group. Inappropriate at the least!
