Peggy's Cove
The tour starts in downtown Halifax with a 45mins (approximate) drive to peggys cove. Home to one of the most famous light houses in the world and Nova Scotia's most iconic landmarks. On our Peggy’s Cove experience, travelers will embark on a scenic coastal drive, taking in stunning ocean views and picturesque villages. Upon arrival, you’ll explore the iconic Peggy’s Cove Lighthouse, perched on dramatic granite rocks with waves crashing below. Visitors can walk the rugged shoreline, visit local shops and galleries, and immerse themselves in the area’s rich fishing culture.
Swissair Flight 111 Memorial
Whalesback Memorial located approximately 1 km north of Peggy’s Cove, the Whalesback Memorial features two granite stones. One stone bears three carved notches representing the flight number "111," and its orientation points toward the crash site. The second stone aligns with the Bayswater Memorial across the bay. A short walking trail (160 meters) leads visitors to this solemn site, providing a space for reflection amidst the natural coastal landscape

the tour was conducted by Alpha Travel & Tour. Had a great tour, considering the weather was raining and chilly. We made the most of the trip. I signed up as a solo traveler, thank goodness 2 other ladies from the Canada signed up, ended up 3 of us

Went to see many interesting sites and learned a lot about the area. Arjun, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and courteous, telling us interesting facts about areas as well as things like where to take good pictures and restaurant recommendations.

If you are planning a trip through Nova Scotia, do yourself a favor and book with Arjun. We spent a whirlwind day exploring Peggy’s Cove, Lunenburg, and the Titanic Cemetery, and it was easily the highlight of our entire maritime journey. Arjun isn’t just a driver; he is a master storyteller and a true professional. His driving was smooth and safe, allowing us to relax and soak in the rugged coastal scenery. At Peggy’s Cove, he knew exactly where to position us for the best photos away from the crowds. In Lunenburg, his deep knowledge of the colorful architecture and fishing history breathed life into the streets. What truly set Arjun apart was our visit to the Titanic Cemetery (Fairview Lawn). Instead of just pointing at headstones, he shared poignant, well-researched stories that made the experience incredibly moving and personal. He is punctual, incredibly witty, and possesses that genuine East Coast hospitality that makes you feel like you’re traveling with an old friend. He anticipated our needs before we even spoke them—whether it was a local snack recommendation or a quick detour for a hidden viewpoint.

We were only 4 people at the end of the season, which was very pleasant. Our driver Arjun was very nice and explained everything well. The organization and information was also very good. The trip is highly recommended.

Halifax was amazing. The tours with Paul were so informative. We had 2 tours canceled. A boat cruise and Peggy’s cove due to weather. That we understood. And the tour operators quickly reimbursed us. BUT. We did not get our booking fees returned from Trip Advisor or whoever took that money. Tour Advisors should reimburse the booking fees !!!

This was an absolutely lovely day and worth every penny! Our tour guide took us to the stunning Peggy's Cove where we had the perfect amount of time (1 hr) to roam around, take photos, grab a hot cocoa from the restaurant and just enjoy the landscape. There were no crowds so you could roam freely around Peggy's Cove. Our next stop was Lunenburg where we had 2 hours to roam, shop, grab some lunch and enjoy this special town. Lunenburg is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with beautiful British colonial architecture. Our last stop on the way back to Halifax was the Titanic Cemetery. It was a sad and sobering place remembering those who had lost their lives. The graves beautifully arranged like the hull of a ship. At every spot our guide gave us so much historical information as well as tips for where to eat, shop and things to check out. I highly recommend this tour and hope to take it again the next time I am in Nova Scotia.

Had a most enjoyable tour! Guide was super accommodating - we messed up on meeting point, and he told us to stay, he'd get us! He was very personable, which made the day fun! Shared his knowledge about the area as well as history! Absolutely recommend the tour thru Viator! We'll be back to check out more of the area and will definitely call them again!! Less than great weather, but still a great day! Thank you!!
